“This is where you will be stationed. You have finally become worthy to protect the oracle.”
Fox was brought in front of a large pyramid. An endless sea of gold stretched as far as the eye could see. Not a single sign of life except for the person next to him and the Oracle who resided in the pyramid. His job was simple, protect the Oracle from any would-be explorers and raiders. He stood under the protection of the pyramid as the brutal sun beat down on the desert sand. He looked over the vast desert and just waited and watched as nothing happened. Occasionally sand would start to be blown away by the wind, but that was the only form of entertainment that he could rely on. If it wasn’t for the arduous training he went through, he would have gone crazy, but he just occupied his mind with other things such as how to protect the Oracle.
The days went on and nothing happened, no signs of intruders, hell not even any sound of life. He received food and water as the village delivered food to the Oracle. But even with his training he began to hear voices, faint feminine whispers in his head which began to make him question a couple of things. Dinner was delivered for himself and the Oracle. He knocked on the door… no response. He knocked again and again, nothing. He was always advised to never interact with the Oracle, her power and prophecies were not to be divulged to one person alone, but it would not matter if the Oracle was dead. He opened the door and walked through the long hallway. He looked at the murals that littered the walls and he continued to walk. Fox’s steps became slower and more careful, even when he felt a presence following him, he continued forward. He then felt an unexpected warmth near his neck. He slowly placed his hand on his blade, the first time in a while since he had actively tried to use it.
“Fox, isn’t it?” the Oracle whispered into his ear. He felt a shiver run down his spine. Her hot breath caused him slight discomfort, but he remained steady.
Fox stopped when he heard her words. His breathing slowed down as he readied his words, “Yes, and who may you be?” he calmly responded
“They haven’t told you? I am the Oracle you are supposed to be protecting.” she arched her back over his shoulder and stared into his cold steel grey eyes.
He was finally able to catch a glimpse of the Oracle he was supposed to be protecting, but he swiftly averted his gaze. There was no rule against seeing the Oracle, but with the full extent of her powers unknown to him, he would rather not take the chance. Even so the glimpse of her bright orange hair wanted him to break the rules and stay with her.
“Did I short circuit your mind with my feminine wiles?”
A strange noise came from his mouth, one that was not necessarily a sign of disagreement, but one part agreement and the rest confusion. The Oracle smiled as she took over his personal space, it was going to be a fun time with him.

The prince from the Northern Kingdom sat on a gaudy velvet throne, with gold adorning the outer rim of the throne. The queen had recently died and through the advice of his advisor, many princesses from various kingdoms as well as duchesses and countesses. Everyone wanted a chance to ascend in the rankings, but each and every suitress was rejected by the prince.
His cold grey eyes never lightened and his mouth remained downturned throughout the multiple hours of sitting and sorting through suitresses.
“There are no more suitresses, your majesty.” Madarame, the advisor spoke
“Truly a travesty.” Yusuke, the prince sarcastically remarked
“Your majesty, if you do not find a suitable suitress, then this kingdom shall fall into ruin.”
“As you wish.”
The prince lifted himself from the throne. With currently no one to meet he wandered around the palace. He walked outside in the frigid air. His cobalt suit provided little protection from the snow that piled on the ground and his shoulder. He watched his breath freeze right in front of him as he wandered over to the front garden, spotting a small area of bright red in the middle of the white garden. He began to speed up, extending his legs as far as he could. The crunch of the frozen grass underneath his feet began to quiet as he got closer to what, no, who produced such a beautiful color in the frozen landscape he called home.
He stared into her amethyst eyes, slowly shifting his eyes over to her bright orange hair. He brought his hands to her face and she flinched at the feeling of his freezing hands. Her blazing red dress brought a sense of warmth to him that his suit failed to provide.
“Get your hands off of her!” an old gruff voice declared, with Yusuke reflexively bringing his hands back to his side.
“I don’t know who you think you are, but lay another hand on the baroness and I shall have you thrown into a dungeon. Run along, before I order the guards on you.”
Her advisor began to walk away slowly in the frigid air, but the baroness stayed near him.
“It is cold out here. So do be careful.” the baroness replied with a small, meek smile
She curtsied, before slightly lifting up her dress to make her way back to her advisor. Yusuke stared in her direction as she walked further and further away. She was the one he wanted. He would reject every suitress if it meant he could be with her. He would throw everything away if it meant he would be able to be with her.

The hero Kitsune was a top hero in Japan, taking 4th place in national rankings. The populace looked up to him so long as they did not listen to him speak for more than 5 minutes. His immense speed and strength were top rate, with every agency wanting him signed to them, and despite his popularity, he instead remained solo.
On the other hand the hero, Pharaoh, was quite the opposite of Kitsune, she was lower in the overall rankings, her strength and speed were middling, and she scared most people away with her costume.
“Kitty!” Skulleton exclaimed
“I thought I asked you to stop calling me that?” Kitsune asked
“Doesn’t matter. Joker wants to introduce you to someone.” Skulleton pointed over to the lobby. Kitsune stood up and walked over to Joker.
“There you are! I wanted to introduce you to Pharaoh.” Joker explained, shifting a little to the left
He looked right where Joker once stood, a small woman with bright orange hair, silk bandages wrapped around her entire body, and a gold oni mask. The culture clash between Egyptian and Japanese iconography lit a fire in Kitsune.
“I want to team up with you!”
“No!” Joker exclaimed
“...” Pharaoh stood silently, shifting her eyes towards Joker
“Why not!”
“Because no!”
“You cannot make a decision for her, so let her decide.”
“...sure”
“Thank you, I shall be your partner till I die. I assume it is time to make it official?”
“HEY! GET BACK HERE!”

“So Inari.” Futaba started
“Yes?” Yusuke asked
“Do you think there are multiple universes? If you think about it, there are personas that represent different gods and deities. Surely there are different universes especially with the Metaverse and the Movie Theater, as while not universes they are small dimensions outside of our own. Also don’t get me started on the implication of Odin.”
“I truly do not care for such hypotheticals. I exist in this reality and have lived through many mistakes and endured so much pain, but here I am in a relationship with the most beautiful and intelligent woman in the entire world.”
“Stop it! But I think there are multiple universes.” Futaba started embarrassed, but her voice began to fade, “But it makes me sad to think about all the possibilities in those universes.”
“I am so glad that I get to call you mine. No matter how many universes there may be I will love you in every universe I exist with you. There may be infinite universes, but my love extends to each and every universe. Love is a choice and I choose us every time.”
Futaba hid herself under her blankets, hiding her furious blush from her boyfriend.
