A murderous ball of Positivity

Work Text:

Despite being a child of the literal physical embodiment of Positivity, Demys certainly possesses many instincts that go against everything that his father (Dream) stands for.

Although, (Underfell) Papyrus certainly doesn’t mind or care about Demys’s ‘concerning’ lack of morals, in comparison to that of most of his siblings.

In fact, he’s rather glad that Demys has a concerning lack of morals. Demys’s father (the one that actually matters) is basically a god as far as the Great and Terrifying Papyrus is concerned.

And gods are gods because they’re not merciful. In Underfell, one has no neef as something like mercy

Not if you want to live.

Kill or be killed, that’s the rule of Underfell.

Sure, the human can try to preach about peace as much as they want. But everyone in Underfell knows how the world truly works.

And Demys certainly fits in with Underfell. After all, the little yellow-clad demigod has already killed before!

He already has experience enough.

And he’s certainly not a bad catch in terms of partners for Papyrus’s nephew Mourge.

The boy needs someone who doesn’t behave like a sniveling coward like that father of his— Sci, as Papyrus’ brother calls him.

Really, did Sans just have to pick such a weak-willed monster to procreate? Sure, Sci is very intelligent.

Intelligent enough to create weapons of mass destruction if he weren’t such a coward blonde with thugs like ‘morals’ and ‘standards’!!!

As if that had ever stopped anyone in Underfell before…

And his stupid brother is no better, with his constant insistence that Sci shouldn’t use his gifts for striking terror into the hearts of their enemies.

There was the occasional break of villainy from Sci, specifically when it involved a curtain blue scarf-wearing skeleton from Underswap and that ‘friendship club’ of his.

But all in, Papyrus thinks Sci is far too soft to be his brother’s mate. Much less the father of his nephew.

Thank Asgore for the fact that Papyrus managed to intervene early enough in Morgue’s life to enroll the child in Underfell Toriel’s school for children.

That was a good place to start toughening up the little skeleton. After all school is where misery happens.

Papyrus should know.

“Morgue, honey, I don’t think that it’s a good idea for Demys to be playing with those Positivity blades,” Sci shook his head as he watched Dream’s child play with the very dangerous knife made out of Positivity magic.

”Someone could get hurt,” Sci added. “Either him or anyone else,”

”Don’t worry about it Dad,” Morgue insisted. “Demys knows how to handle his knives. And especially those knifes,”

Sci didn’t look too convinced.

“Your father’s right kiddo,” Fell chimed in. “Demys should put those things away before he either stabs someone, kills someone, or breaks something,”

”I said not to worry,” Morgue replied, slightly annoyed. “Demys knows what he’s doing. He’s handled Positivity knives before,”

Yup!” Demys agreed, elegantly twirling one of his knife. “I’ve been playing with these things since I was five!”

Sci turned pale while Fell looked a bit… disturbed at that new piece of information.

“And never once have I gotten seriously injured because of my knives!” Demys proclaims proudly.

“Gods dunking damn it I knew that there was something up with Dream!” Fell exclaims. “Funker has been fighting Nightmare for centuries and has never once cracked down hard to the point that Nightmare could feel it all the way from his creepy ask castle!”

“Sans, don’t be dramatic,” Papyrus rolls his eye lights. “You should be glad that at least your future son-in-law knows how to handle weapons. Especially those…” Papyrys squints slightly, “positivity knives, as you called them,”

Morgue’s eyes widened at mention of ‘future son-in-law’ by Papyrus. Demys simply smirked, even if his face had turned slightly yellow due to feeling flustered.

“Well sorry for being worried about Demys doing something stupid with those knives!” Fell snapped at his brother. “I don’t want either Lux or Dream, or Asgore forbid, Dust. To be on my ass over Demys getting hurt cause we weren’t watching him right,”

“All of you have very little faith in Demys’ ability to handle his own weapons,” Morgue interrupted.

“Mor, don’t get too worked up over it,” Demys giggles. “I feel loved!”

”Of course you do,” Morgue sighs softly. “This you we’re talking about,”

“Who else would you be taking about? There’s only one me!”

”Thank science for that,” Morgue replied. “The Multiverse wouldn’t survive in the event of two Demys -Demysi?- running around,”

“Bet you’d love that,” Demys grinned, feral and unstable-looking as always, teleporting to Morgue’s side. The knives were still in his hands. “Wouldn’t ya, sweetheart?”

”You’re going to be the death of me one day,” Morgue promises him, holding both of Demys’s hands. The knives were still there, and Morgue could feel the warmth radiated by the Positivity knives through Demys’s hands.

”Then your death will be one filled with much happiness and positivity,” Demys promises cheerfully.

“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” Morgue admits.

See? Even their flirting is better than yours and Sci’s!” Papyrus exclaims, gesturing towards Demys and Morgue. “Morgue snatched himself a demigod perfectly willing to kill, someone who will fit in within Underfell. Unlike you,”

”I can tear apart space-time, traverse the Multiverse to places that you have never been to. And rearrange every molecule in your entire body in hundred different ways. As well as make inventions that could doom entire timelines,” Sci pointed out flatly.

“Yeah, but you never use them for anything actually useful in Underfell,” Papyrus muttered.

”I literally taught Morgue all that I know! He’s a scientist, a mad one sometimes, because of me!” Sci exclaims.

“To my utter surprise!” Papyrus shrikes.

There’s a moment of silence.

Then Sci says, “Want me to make you a better weapon than the one that you currently have?”

Papyrus smirks in satisfaction, “There’s the mad scientist that craves world domination that I gave my blessing to marry my stupid brother,”

”Stop calling Fell stupid or I’ll stop making your royal guards highly deadly weapons,” Sci replies dryly. “First rule of being a mad scientist is that no one disrespects your wife,”

“Fine, fine,”

“Oh my gods,” Fell groans. “Boss, why? Now I gotta worry over Sci making some dooms day device while being sleep-deprived. It’s bad enough with just Morgue on a constant mad scientist high. Now I gotta wrestle with two!”

“Sans, shut up,” Papyrus says flatly.

”What did I say about disrespecting my son’s mother?” Sci narrows his eyes.

“Right, sorry,” Papyrus sighs. “Sans, please be quiet,”

”Your family is so lovely,” Demys giggles, twirling one of his knives again. “This is hilarious! Definitely beats my family drama because of Cross and all of my half-siblings,”

“Sure it does love,” Morgue says, hands crossed against his chest. Of course Demys would think something like that. Morgue is already pretty used to Demys’ everything.

He wouldn’t have it any other way.

Demys is a Dust/Dream kid. Morgue is a Sci/Fell kid. Neither one of them belong to me. They both belong to their rightful owners.

Since this the first part of my Fanon AU Reboot, I’ll say that it’s a part of the “Telenovela World”. Which is what I’m gonna call the Fanon Reboot AU, “Telenovela world”
