Aphmau blinked, giving in to the sudden force of gravity pulling her into the thick snow. She felt dizzy, as nausea washed over her. Still on the ground she wipped around to her friends. Lucinda and Zane were standing a few steps away staring at her blankly.
"What are two doing?" She shouted, "take me back!" Her anger shocked her but it wasn't her friends she was angry at, they weren't responsible for the insanity unfolding, just catalysts. Truely the one who she was angry at was the person behind it all. "Aphmau please, you need to meet our brother." Zane reasoned. "Yes I'm sure this will all be better once you see him." Lucinda added. Aphmau pulled herself up, her legs threatening to give way under her. "I don't want to see your brother. I don't care who his is! Take. Me. Back. Please." She hoped that maybe they'd listen and see sense but whoever had them didn't want to let go.
"Aphmau," a frightening voice called out from behind her, "is that anyway to talk about someone you love"
The voice was sickly sweet, the words coated in a faux calm all too familiar to her.
She knew that voice.
A shiver ran down her spin as she spun her body to look at him. Suddenly her expression shifted from anger to fear at the sight of a man she once hoped she'd never have too see again.
Ein.
He looked so strange, his ears and tail were still the same electric blue, his white eyes were staring at her the same as the last time they'd spoken but his hair was longer and his skin was pale with all his piercings gone. Still he looked nothing like the Ein she wanted him to be. The Ein who she became friends with all those years ago. Instead this was the Ein who did all those horrible things in highschool and was probably about to do more horrible things now. She shuddered as she realised the gravity of her situation.
Seeing her shut in around herself at the sight of him satisfied Ein to no end. It was the first joy he had felt in a long time. He let out a wicked laugh that echoed through the trees. He had dreamt of the day he could have her again, the day he could strip her of her humanity and become her saviour. This time no one and nothing would get in his way.
He stepped towards her, closing the gap between them in a few seconds. Aphmau tried to run but he grabbed onto her and pulled her into him. "I've been waiting for you for so long." She began to shake under him, his touch disgusted her. "Shh, it's ok I'll make it all better just wait and see." He pat her head and held her tightly. A knot formed in aphmau's stomach as fear and anger flowed through her."Get off of me!" She pulled away but he held firmly onto her. "I said let go! You have no right to touch me!" She began clawing at him desperately trying to escape him like an animal caught in a trap. He looked at her with such intensity never taking his eyes off of her, "Common darling didn't you miss me too? I thought about you, day and night, just dreaming of the day I could save you, someone like you doesn't deserve the fate of a human, the fate he was content to give you," he dug his claws into her shoulders and moved to her ear. "Let me save you. Let yourself love me." She needed to run, to get back to Aaron. She kept shoving and pulling and he kept holding on.
"Lucinda there's 2 emeralds on the bench inside. Go prepare a potion of hatred, and a potion of love." Lucinda noded "yes brother" and walked towards the cabin. "Now Aphmau, be a good girl and stop fighting me." Aphmau wanted to vomit. After all this was over she was going to have to scrub her skin clean. "No! I don't want this!" She began fighting, using strength she didn't know she had. "Please! Let us go! Just leave me," she finally broke away from him, "ALONE!" she stumbled before dashing way from the two men.
Annoyance washed over Ein as he looked over to Zane, "You! After her" without missing a beat Zane chased after her. Aphmau tried to run fast enough but all that training Zane and Garroth were doing has really come back to bite her. Once he caught up he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her down. "Zane please! You don't want this" she began clawing at his arms, " he's controlling you Zane, fight it!" Zane held on firm, "please Aphmau let my brother help you." Before she could attempt to convince her friend Ein walked over and towered over her. "My my what a fuss." Zane let her go and moved to the side as Ein bent down and held her jaw in his hand, "you will make a great werewolf." Aphmau held back her tears, she just wanted to be back with Aaron.
"Brother, I have made the potions." Ein turned his head towards Lucinda letting his grin turn into a smile. "Give me the love potion." He reached out his hand and Lucinda placed a glowing green potion into his hand. Aphmau crawled backwards. Before she could get any distance away Ein placed one hand on her cheek and got close to her face, "its alright my sweet, just drink this and it'll all be better." Aphmau couldn't help but let her tears spill down her face, "please Ein, I don't want this" she begged hopping to appeal to the friend she had in highschool... But he was never really that person. She lowered herself to her elbows and turned her head just trying to get away from him. To get the smell of his breath out of her nose. "Please.." she sobbed, "Aaron.." Eins demeanour changed he became enraged at that name. He grabbed her shoulders and put of his weight onto her pinning her to the snow. "Aaron.. AARON!?" He screamed, Aphmau layed there in shock. "You want him? After all I've gone through for you? All he's done is live out his life as a pathetic human and surround himself with that same weakness! I am the divine saviour and still you choose him!?" There was something strange about the way that was phrased but she didn't exactly have time to care, "of course I want him! He loves me! He's done more for me than you could ever dream of!" She spat back. Suddenly he moved up grabbing onto the neck of her sweater and pulling it with him, sitting her up with him. "Oh yeah? We'll see how you feel once you drink this."
Before Aphmau could protest Ein shove the potion into her mouth. Once the liquid disappeared down her throat he threw the bottle to the side. She closed her eyes and groand before looking up at him with bright green eyes
"Aphmau my darling, what am I too you." She giggled and took his face in her hands, " you're Ein silly, the love of my life." Ein smiled. "And what are you?" She tilted her head, "I'm your loyal fiance" Ein nodded pleased "that's right, my loyal fiance." He pulled her in and whispered in her ear, "I've waited so long for this, ever since we were torn apart all those years ago. I never gave up, I've kept an eye on you from afar and now you're mine. I'll save you from your humanity and become your god. I'll bless you, my beloved. I promise. I will always love you."
