All characters and plots that are original to Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Yellowstone belong to those creators and networks. I only claim ownership of my original characters and the plot twists and tweaks I came up with.
Each of the shows I intertwined in this crossover is a slightly alternate universe. There were many things in Vampire Diaries and The Originals that I thought were not touched on enough. Several things were hinted at, but never really went into depth. Some storylines that I thought were overdone, and some storylines that I hated. For example, killing off Klaus and Elijah at the end of the series made no sense to me. So, I chose to go slightly alternate universe. I also did this to keep the story as original as possible. I tweaked a few of the plots. Don’t get me wrong, I loved both shows, but I was looking to change the story enough so that it would be interesting. Personally, I prefer the twists and turns that some fanfiction writers have come up with to suit the story they were trying to achieve.
I get some people may not like the tweaks I did, the things I brought to light that bothered me, or that I thought were glossed over, but this is my variation of the shows. If you don’t like it, don’t read it.
Final reminder, this story is an Alternate Universe; there are a few original characters. Most were not created at the beginning of my writing this story. For example, the character Ivinka, Rebekah’s identical twin sister, was not even a blip on my radar at the beginning. Until I was writing the scene where my original character was ripping into Elena for daggering Rebekah, while Mikael was around. Ivinka was literally created on a whim to make that scene more intense. This is part of the reason I chose to mostly complete this book before posting the first chapter. Several of the twists and tweaks I did were last-minute additions or changes that I had to go back and add and weave in.
One last note I wrote this story in its entirety or nearly in its entirety, before posting the first few chapters. I will post a chapter or two each week after doing a final tweak and proofread.
