Irritating, understated, adults being adults.
It happened again.
All four of them—
Hoops sighed, unsure whether to trust the adult speaking to them, unsure whether the others trusted her as well, because—
—because, because—
Adults doing nasty experiments at the end of the day possibly shouldn’t be trusted, as there was no telling what they might do just to make their experiment work out the way they wanted to.
Yet—
“How else are we going to get back if we don’t try, if we don’t use what they give us?” Hoops thought the situation was quite uncomfortable.
