Work Text:

Changbin hadn’t been feeling like himself for days.

In truth, he only really had himself to blame. Rule number one of being famous– people always have shit to say. Don’t get sucked into comments, especially about your body. You could be the most objectively attractive person in the world, and someone would still make a negative comment. However, he found he couldn’t help himself.

His body was always a topic of issue within the world of kpop. Changbin wasn’t your typical ‘skinny boy pretty’. People always said he looked angular and awkward when he was skinnier. Fine, that’s okay, he’ll build up some muscle. He’d worked incredibly hard, and gained several pounds in muscle, putting his effort into bulking. There were various negative comments calling him ‘fat’, but he brushed them aside. Changbin told himself he was happy with his progress, and that was all that mattered. Recently, he had started cutting his weight. He’d reached what he deemed a comfortable muscle mass, and exchanged bulking for cutting to define some of the muscles. The rapper was scrolling through the comments of a video where he had mentioned wanting to build up abs to show STAY. People were still complaining. Now they were mourning the loss of his softness, whining about how his muscles had shrunk down.

Changbin buried his face in his hands, blinking back the tears that burned behind his eyes. Why couldn’t he seem to do anything right? Why was something always wrong? He jumped when there was a knock at his door, and he glanced at the time, swearing under his breath. Hyunjin was home. He scrambled to wipe away any tears that had managed to fall, walking over to his bedroom door. Changbin pulled it open, flashing his roommate a smile.

“Jinnie– hey.” He breathed, hoping any signs of distress were gone from his face. “How’s my wife doing?” Changbin added on jokingly, hoping to dissuade any suspicion. Hyunjin was not impressed. He immediately leaned forward, cupping Changbin’s cheeks as he peered at him.

“You’ve been crying.” Hyunjin observed, a soft pout on his face. The rapper sputtered, feeling his ears redden as he tried to look as normal as possible.

“Crying? Don’t be silly.” He dismissed, standing tall, but Hyunjin wasn’t looking at him anymore. The taller’s eyes looked past him, a visible anger passing over his face. Changbin winced, knowing exactly what he was looking at. Shit. He’d left the comments pulled up on his computer. “Jinnie–”

Hyunjin shoved past him, coming to a stop in front of the computer, turning around to level a disapproving look at his roommate. “What have I told you about looking at things like this?”

In a different situation, Changbin would’ve found it amusing. Hyunjin stood there, hand on his hip as he frowned, his eyebrow raised. He really did behave like Changbin’s wife. The shorter deflated, shuffling over to Hyunjin and powering off the computer. “I just– I wanted to see what people thought. I changed up my workout routine recently. I guess…I guess people don’t like it.”

“Bin.” Hyunjin interrupted, his stern gaze softening into something concerned. “There will always be people trying to bring you down. Your body is perfect the way it is.” Changbin gave him a brief smile to placate him, looking down.

“Ah…Thanks, Hyun.” He murmured, biting the inside of his cheek. Hyunjin huffed, crossing his arms.

    “You don’t believe me.”

“Don’t be like that. You know I–”

“On the bed.” Hyunjin interrupted, pointing a finger at his bed. Changbin shot him a confused look, but Hyunjin just kept pointing, leaving no room for argument. He deflated, walking over to the bed, carefully sitting on the end. Hyunjin followed him, gently pushing his shoulders back so he laid down. He then proceeded to climb on top of him, situating himself on the shorter man’s thighs. Changbin raised an eyebrow, pink dusting across his cheeks, his hands automatically resting on Hyunjin’s hips.

“Hello?” He prompted, a mixture of flustered and confused. Hyunjin wiggled his fingers playfully, grinning.

“Remember what I said last time you were feeling bad about your body?” He replied, clear excitement laced in his tone. Changbin frowned, looking up as he recalled the memory. Hyunjin had found him upset, not unlike today, and sat with him until he felt better. At the end, he had playfully threatened to make Changbin say he loved every part of himself if Hyunjin found him like this again. Heat rose to his cheeks as he looked back at Hyunjin; the taller looking pleased.

“Jinnie–” He protested, his words dying in the back of his throat as Hyunjin gently tugged up his shirt. The taller grinned wickedly, placing his hands on the rapper’s bare stomach.

“Is your body perfect?” Hyunjin prompted, raising an eyebrow. Changbin squirmed, flustered under all the attention, looking away.

“No one’s body can be per–” He started, but he cut himself off with a choked laugh as he felt hands spider across his stomach. His eyes went wide, dread pooling in his stomach as he realized exactly what method Hyunjin wanted to use to get him to agree. “No…”

Hyunjin giggled evilly, looking incredibly pleased with himself, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Yes.” He countered, practically vibrating with excitement. “Is. Your. Body. Perfect?” He repeated, drumming his fingers against the older’s stomach. Changbin bit back the shy smile that threatened to take over his face, reaching down to try and push Hyunjin’s hands away.

“Jinnie, this is childish.” The rapper protested, but it did nothing to dissuade his companion. Hyunjin snickered, then leaned closer.

“Remember– you brought this upon yourself.” He murmured, sending shivers down Changbin’s spine.

“Hyun, wait–” An embarrassing squeak came from his mouth, jolting as Hyunjin dug his hands into his stomach. He puffed out his cheeks, trying his hardest not to give the younger the reaction he desired.

Hyunjin tsked, a playful look of disappointment on his face. He spidered his hands up the rapper’s ribs, then pulled one hand back down, drilling his thumb into the spot of his stomach directly between Changbin’s ribcage and his hip. Changbin squirmed, an odd noise escaping him as he desperately tried to evade his roommate’s deft fingers. It worked as Hyunjin had hoped, because seconds later, Changbin had dissolved into giggles. His cheeks were flushed a deep red as he laughed, a bright smile on his face, weakly pushing at Hyunjin hands.

“J-jinnie nohoho!” He pleaded, clear embarrassment radiating off of him. Hyunjin nodded solemnly, his fingers slowing.

“You’re right.” The taller agreed, relishing in the brief hope that flicked across Changbin’s face. He grinned, his fingers inching up to the older’s underarms. “Your armpits look so lonely.”

Changbin’s eyes widened, and he promptly clamped his hands down to his sides, a flustered smile wide on his face. He giggled as he shook his head, the childish nature of the game getting to him. “N-no they don’t. Hyunjin. Hyunjin.” The man in question huffed, knowing Changbin was too strong to pry his arms away. He instead changed tactics, leaning down to bury his face in Changbin’s neck. Hyunjin brushed his nose against the skin, pressing sloppy, noisy kisses to his neck as he nuzzled. Changbin squeaked, bubbly giggles pouring out of his mouth as he scrunched his shoulders up. Hyunjin took the opportunity to wedge his hands underneath Changbin’s arms, wiggling his fingers against his armpits. The older tossed and turned, trying to escape the tortuous feelings, but nothing helped. His body felt electrified; every little touch sending a fresh wave of butterflies scattering across his stomach. Changbin nearly melted with relief when the actions stopped, but it didn’t last long.

Hyunjin had pulled back, and his face was now hovering above his stomach, mischief radiating off him in waves. Changbin’s eyes widened, and he shook his head rapidly, a flustered smile plastered across his face. “Y-you wouldn’t…”

“I would.” Hyunjin assured him, his grin widening. “Say it, Bin.”

“You know I have issues with this kind of thing!” Changbin whined, nervous anticipation rising in him as Hyunjin inched closure. “C-cmon, Jinnie, I get your point.”

“Last chance.” He murmured, his breath fanning across the older’s stomach. Changbin pursed his lips, squeezing his eyes shut as he turned away, his cheeks bright red. Hyunjin snickered, looking pleased. “I was hoping you’d choose that option.”

Hyunjin took a deep breath, pressing his lips right above Changbin’s belly button, blowing a loud raspberry against the skin. The older shrieked, trying his hardest to curl up, loud laughter cascading from his mouth like a waterfall. Hyunjin blew a few more, just for good measure, but relented when he saw tears of mirth pricking at Changbin’s eyes. He leaned back, rubbing soothing circles across the shorter man’s stomach, helping dispel the lingering feelings. Changbin was panting, his cheeks flushed, laid back against the bed. He tried to glare at Hyunjin, but his ‘anger’ was undercut by the goofy smile and bright blush on his cheeks.

“Yohou…you know you’re so dead, right?” He breathed, making Hyunjin laugh. The taller laughed, rolling off of him in favor of curling up against his side. Changbin allowed him in, adjusting his arm so Hyunjin could slot in the space. “...Thank you.”

Hyunjin glanced up at the soft words, a fond smile curling at his lips as he observed the redness of Changbin’s cheeks. “Anytime, Bin.” He snuggled closer, putting a hand flat against Changbin’s stomach, giggling when the older tensed up. “I love an excuse to abuse your ticklish tummy.”

Changbin grumbled something unintelligible, highly flustered, making Hyunjin laugh again. “...You’re lucky I love you.”

“I really am.” Hyunjin agreed sincerely, nodding. Changbin softened, sighing, and he pressed a kiss to the top of his roommate’s head.

    “Don’t ever change, Jinnie.”

“As long as you don’t either, Binnie.”
