This story has been sitting in my mind for a while now.
This is a fresh AO3 account. My first account. As such, this is my first fic.
That aside, I've been an Undertale fan for very little time.
I've purchased Undertale relatively recently. I played through the game of its entirety.
Same with Undertale Yellow.
Despite being with these games for very little time, they have done a number on me. I hold them very dear to my heart.
However~
my enjoyment became borderline obsession.
So here we are now.
This work is inspired by Justice is blind, Falling out of trouble and, um, this one other story I can't remember the name of. A revival fic.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT
that's a little bit boring.
If you've read the tags, you'd see "Implied/Referenced Child Abuse" and immediately think I'm some sick fuck who enjoys writing about children being abused. And, unfortunately, that is partially correct. While I don't agree with the concept of child abuse, I feel like the story sort of just fits the fallen children. I haven't found any indication of how large Mount Ebott is, but, tiny child runs up a hill. falls into a massive hole. Likely containing child-eating monsters with abilities they have no hope of conquering. I don't know if they "tripped" but well... They scaled a mountain. I'm no scientist, but children don't typically have that kind of stamina. So in my mind, I'm thinking, "they're desperate enough to run longer than they can handle to get away from something" or "they have nothing left". So here's the concept I'm going with -

Another thing.
Clover isn't exactly talkative.
The one thing that irked me about fanfics that I've seen is Clover talks way too much. Clover talked like, 10 times when you consider all routes in UTY. That's not even accounting for the fact that a handful of the dialogue options for Clover are "..."
I am, however, happy for the few that made it make sense. I don't think I can say which ones and/or how they do it, because i don't want to spoil those. To those authors who shall not be named (partially because my memory is horrible) thank you.
I intend to make Clover talkative for the sake of my sanity, but also my brain wants to do it in a way that doesn't break his character like UTR&Y did (I like how Clover was depicted, but it doesn't FEEL like Clover).

I do like to write LONG chapters though. So unless I suddenly get the urge or have 2 trillion ideas pop up in my head, this work will be updated at most once per week.
might be shorter for the first couple of chapters while I still have the will to live.
edit: 4000 words is like, a decent chapter length. And that's been my average for the first 2 actual chapters.
I would've made this chapter 0 but I have absolutely no clue how to do that atp.
At the time of writing this, working on this fanfic is something of a hobby to me, so I'll probably be releasing a chapter one per week.
(edit: Writing this fic is lowk pretty fun, so I'm probably gonna be releasing chapters once per day or once every other day.)

Future of this AO3 account:
In the future, I'm thinking of making a work dedicated to UTR&Y AU ideas. Largely inspired by "an ABOVEtale" which I personally believe to be incredibly well written, despite my personal grievances with it not having released a chapter since August (I'm writing this in Early October). Here's my predictions for how it will turn out:
- It will probably turn out to be a shitpost
- Nobody will pay attention to the AU archive work because they have actual creativity, unlike me
- I suck at writing and can't ask people to proofread through my stuff because I'll get social anxiety
Rather than posting what my plans are for the future on this specific chapter, I'll probably make a whole ass work dedicated to just that. Also, the primary reason that I'm writing this is because for some reason this story has already hit triple digits for "hits" which means that I need to stroke my Ego while I can.
