Magnet

Summary:

Basically, Havoc cheated on poor Ninezero, and when he found out, a heated argument ensued. Later, they reunite and try to work it out somehow.

Notes:

So, one day me and my friend listened to magnet covers with these two, and I loved the ship. And as a joke, I wrote the first part of the fanfic to her. This came out surprisingly good, and imho, AO3 worthy. Also my friend, after reading it, urged me to publish it. So I guess this is it. The ship must sail!

Chapter 1: Pt.1

Chapter Text

- You still don’t get this, do you? You cheated on me! You dumped me for this cheap ass bitch Natalie! – Zero screamed, balling his hands into fists. Tears quickly began streaming down his face. - Am I some sick fetish to you?! Some exotic plaything that you could forget about tomorrow? After all we’ve been through?

- Zero. Please, don’t cry. My heart is tearing apart when I see you like this. – Havoc tried to diffuse this, which only angered Zero more.

- Fuck you! Don’t tell me what to do, I cry whenever I want! – he rose up from the bed quickly, - And wasn’t your heart torn when you took her places, introduced her to our friends as a “fiancée”, and asked her to marry you, huh?! And I stood there like a complete idiot, trying not to crash out, I… I just can’t believe what is happening anymore. – he started pacing around the room, his hands shaking.

- Please, hear me out. No matter how much both of us want this, our love is forbidden. And I couldn’t make up any more excuses as to why I can’t find somebody. I couldn’t do this any other way. I’m sorry. – Havoc lowered his gaze, and idly stared at the floor, not knowing what to do anymore.

Upon hearing this, Zero stopped abruptly, turned his gaze to him and cackled like a maniac. This sent chills down Havoc’s spine. He swallowed nervously, awaiting Zero’s next step.

- Ha… So that’s how weak-willed you are, Havoc. One fucking inconvenience, and you’re running away like a coward. Choosing the easy way out, afraid of some arbitrary judgement and opinions. Not even thinking about those who trusted you your heart! Do you even realize, how hard it is? To finally trust somebody, give someone your heart? You’re… You’re such a piece of shit! – Zero rose his hand and tried to hit Havoc in the face, missing, and hitting the lower jaw.

The next hit never came, as Havoc quickly grabbed his wrists and shoved him up the wall. Zero tried resisting, but gave up, knowing that Havoc is a cyborg with inhuman power.

- Let me go! – he screamed in futility.

- Zero. I know I’m an asshole, but please. Hear me out. I would never ever consider you a plaything. And in truth, you don’t even realize how much I want us to be together. Believe me when I say I want to be with you. I just can’t.

In this moment, Zero noticeably cooled down and stopped crying. Even though he kept sniffing and hiccupping here and there. Havoc took him by his chin gently, his gaze was pensive, and longing. Longing for closeness. He instinctively closed the space between them, brushing his lips against Zero’s. He let go of Zero’s arms and lowered them to his hips, caressing and squeezing them gently. Zero was still full of rage because of cheating, but he couldn’t resist the kiss and this touch. This pushed his psyche to overdrive, he wanted to hit, to scream, to love.

Havoc pulled away from him, and took a little step back, as to give him space and not be imposing. Zero looked a little out of it. Still leaned against the wall, lips parted.

- I didn’t mean to hurt you. And… I don’t know, what to do.

- Havoc. Never be afraid of others’ judgement. If anything happens, just tell me, we’ll solve this together. Even if they attempt to murder us, I don’t care. It doesn’t matter, if it means I get to stay with you.

- I’ll… Figure it out with Natalie, okay? I’ll try to fix this. – he kissed Zero lightly one more time. – C’mon. I’ll cook you a dinner.
