"Kill me," Ray requested.
Sitting on the same couch as him, Zack released a long, weary sigh.
"You always ask for the same thing," he answered, too weary. "Is there nothing else you want from me?"
"And what can you give me?"
"..." He remained silent for a few seconds.
"I don't know... Something better!"
"There's nothing better than death."
"Alright!" he exclaimed. "Do you want death?"
She nodded. He smiled; he wanted to kill.
"I'll kill for you," the girl looked at him fixedly without a drop of emotion at what was said. "I would kill for you, Ray," he assured. "Ask me to kill for you," the killer looked excited.
The abstinence of not killing had him tired. All because the damn cops were still searching for them and the girl had forbidden it! Agh! "Killing someone would raise suspicions" (Ray's exact words) Blah!
"I want you to kill me," she requested.
And Zack got annoyed.
"I want to kill someone happy and fearful of death; not one who will open their arms, waiting to die," he replied.
"I can simulate it."
"It has to be real!" he objected. "That would be false and it would be like lying! Don't forget that I hate lies!" he swallowed and after a while, he asked. "Don't you want me to kill someone?"
His gaze was shiny and an emotion began to run through his being. Just imagining killing.
"Me."
"You don't count!" his brow was furrowed. He didn't want to imagine that!
"Why? We made a vow."
"For what I said before! And come on! I would kill for you, Ray... It's not something I do for everyone. Don't you have someone you want dead?"
"No, just me," her voice was calm. "Kill me!" she begged, her eyes shining expectantly.
Zack wanted to kill, but not Ray. She wasn't an option!
"Kill me," she said again. And the killer sighed.
"Ugh, what a joke!" he exclaimed, making a gesture with his hand, no longer tolerating her offering herself; killing her would not be fun. "Killing you would be like killing someone dead," he added.
No longer wanting to be in her vicinity, he headed to his room.
"Damn it! I'm going to kill in my dreams."
