Chapter Text
It was to be expected that the first man would want to start a life with his mistress Lilith. A life where it was just the two of them, a lovely family surrounded by all the most beautiful animals in the beautiful garden. That was his plan; everything seemed perfect, didn't it?
Everything was going relatively well. Lilith adored being with Adam. They spent all their time together, picking berries, playing with the animals, swimming in the river, and kissing passionately at night in a pure and wholesome way, of course. It seemed to be a perfect life for Adam; he had nothing to complain about with his wonderful wife.
Some time later, they had a visitor: an angel.
The angel appeared, giving a small bow to the two humans, his lips rising slightly on impulse. With a gentle gaze and a resonant voice, he said, "My dear Adam and Lilith, from today forward, I will stay to care for and protect you as is fitting, by the Lord's command. Let me be with you, and you will never have to fear again."
Lilith couldn't help but feel tenderness upon seeing the beautiful angel. He wasn't tall; he was small, just small enough that when Lilith embraced him, it seemed as if he were being crushed by her strength. The angel returned the embrace, raising his gaze to Adam's golden eyes, who seemed unconvinced by such a presentation. For his part, he only smiled. From Adam's perspective, a malicious smile that put him on alert.
At the beginning of those days, everything was the same as always. The only thing that changed was the presence of the third angel on some occasions. This happened several times until he began to take Adam's place to spend more time with Lilith, his beloved wife.
He couldn't allow this to continue; he simply couldn't.
"Adam, is something wrong?" "You haven't eaten anything all day," the little angel asked in a melancholic tone, holding a few fresh, clean grapes ready to eat on his chest. "I brought you your favorites."
Adam didn't answer. He moved close enough to the stranger, right in front of him, obviously having to lower his gaze. He raised his right hand to lift lucifer's chin and make him look at him, carefully analyzing every feature of his face, and without deciding what to do, he questioned him: "What do you have that I don't?"
"Huh?" The difference in height led the older man to lean forward a little more so that the contact was closer, so that their bodies were intimately joined. In his mind, he visualized that he looked more imposing and superior to him. But there was a mistake there, a mistake he would regret many years later.
"Don't play dumb now. I know what you're plotting. You want to destroy me, you want to make me suffer, don't you?"
From Lucifer's perspective, his heartbeat was irregular and his breathing a little more so, but without a doubt, the situation was perfect. Adam lost his patience and began to squeeze his cheeks with a bit more force, this time frowning and standing just centimeters from his face.
"Answer my question. I won't repeat myself."
He had never been this close to the Improper, so he realized that besides being a beautiful person inside—though not to him—he was also beautiful outside. He was about to lower his hand and pull away, but when he was grabbed by the cheeks, he thought he was going to crush them until his jaw broke, so he didn't bother to answer, not yet. Maybe if he kept his guard up, he could get out of this passive-aggressive situation.
"Adam, my dear. I don't know what you're talking about. I just want to get along with you." he placed his palm on Adam's chest to gently push him away without making him any angrier than he already was.
Lucifer caressed the first man's cheek with his slender hand. "Furthermore..."
"Why would I be with Lilith, when I already have a marvel my eyes are blessed to see every day?" he murmured in a flirtatious and mischievous tone. Adam said nothing, he was paralyzed. He aggressively removed Lucifer's hand from his face in response to that comment; "I see, I have nothing more to ask then." He said this and left, leaving Lucifer bewildered.
"Have I gone too far?" he thought to himself.
(...)
After that, he didn't dare speak, or even look at him. Not immediately; perhaps if he ignored him, he would disappear like in nightmares.
That conversation left him thoughtful. Was he trying to manipulate him? Or did he feel something for him? No, it couldn't be that. They were both men. He was the first; his mission was to be with Lilith, not with an angel, and worse still, not with another man.
His thoughts were jolted awake when he felt a hand touch his shoulder, even after he had closed his eyes. -I can couldn't stay like this! "Do something, idiot!"- he screamed internally.
He felt the other hand land on his other shoulder. He swallowed hard as it slid down to his arms and rubbed them affectionately. He cursed having his back exposed; he could feel the other's breath behind his neck and the other's body brushing against his own.
"You're really tense. Cat got your tongue?" he asked in a smooth, deep voice that resonated in his throat, Or so the young man felt. He pulled away from the grip and backed off as far as he could until he bumped into an orange tree.
He was nervous and couldn't do anything to hide it.
"Oh, come on, don't act like that. I'm not a stranger. We've known each other for a few months."
"Don't do that, Michael." He finally mustered the courage to speak. "You know I'm... a little... anyway, what are you doing here? You almost never visit us." He spoke with a clear undertone of resentment, and his gaze said it all. He was cornered against the tree, but that didn't mean he wouldn't defend himself. "I bet you don't even remember my name!"
The mocking smile vanished from the archangel's face, his expression darkening slightly as he realized the man wasn't going to cooperate in the conversation. Unlike Lucifer, this man wasn't exactly known for his patience.
"I didn't come here to fight, Adam," he emphasized, forcing a pathetic attempt at a smile.
"Then why did you come? Don't tell me you were here to protect us; I can protect myself."
"Oh, really?" he asked, raising an eyebrow and questioning him with an incredulous and condescending tone.
"That's right! Just like I've been doing ever since Lilith appeared with Lucifer." He crossed his arms and frowned even more.
"And that's the reason I came!" He arched his back slightly and poked his shield with his index finger the way someone might poke another person's nose.
Adam blinked a few times in surprise, relaxing his shoulders a little embarrassed.
"I've noticed some unusual behavior from Lucifer lately, don't you think so?"
"I don't know..." he replied in a whisper that the archangel wouldn't have been able to hear if he hadn't been dangerously close.
He was too overwhelmed by the bitterness bubbling in his throat and the chill emanating from his body due to his nerves; he hadn't been able to suppress that thought since he came to this place. And obviously, Michael noticed.
"Did he say something inappropriate to you, didn't he?" His breath caught in his throat, as did his words. The brunette looked up and, when he realized it, he was face to face with Michael. "He tends to act on pure impulse, he's new to this, don't blame him."
He bit his lip at the sound of that. Maybe he thought he'd only said something a little out of line, but that wasn't the case.
"You don't understand... he didn't just say something inappropriate," he murmured, a lump forming in his throat.
"You're telling me he touched your...?"
"I'm not talking about that, you idiot!" he exclaimed, this time with a frightening expression. "I mean, he said something that left me bewildered and... scared."
"Are you sure that's all it was? Are you okay?" Michael's murmur was low, disgustingly low. A delicate caress on Adam's back that did nothing to calm him.
"It's not important," he complained in a dry tone. "Do you need something, or why are you here? You're not going to tell me you only came about Lucifer; I know you're here for something else." The harsh words flowed from his mouth in a honeyed, distant, and cruel tone, typical of the golden-eyed man.
Michael's patient gaze didn't waver; worse, it softened. "Don't worry, it's nothing serious." He lowered his hand, rubbing the headboard with intensity. "I just came to deliver a message from Heaven, well, from the Father."
"What did he say now?" His gaze widened at the mention of that name; he seemed curious and leaned closer to hear better.
“He just wants to warn you that you’ll soon have to have children.” His inquisitive gaze remained fixed on Michael, as if it were perfectly normal, according to him. But for Adam, it was like a waterfall of icy water caressing the taut skin he had put on in that moment.
He continued to stare at Michael, relentless even when Michael’s gaze softened further; somehow, it already seemed he was only doing it to psychologically torture him, trying to prove his manhood. Only a soft sigh, the rustle of their breaths, mingled. The only sensation he felt in that moment was rigidity, something sharp, something that pricked his skin and would probably leave him paralyzed. He lowered his gaze, trying to hide his emotions from the archangel, who hesitated at the sight of this new behavior from the human.
“I don’t think I can do it, she doesn’t seem willing to cooperate,” he said hoarsely, looking up. “I haven’t even had my first kiss.”
“Oh, my apologies.” He straightened his neck abruptly, and his once sweet smile widened, becoming sharp and mocking. “Haven’t they taught you how to kiss yet?”
Adam shook his head. He hated that about Michael. He hated appearing vulnerable in front of him, in front of Lucifer, in front of Lilith, in front of everyone. Sometimes he thought that showing vulnerability was a sign of weakness, that he wasn’t man enough to face these things. He crossed his arms one last time, squeezing his biceps with his fingers to relax; in his own way.
“Want to know how it’s done?” Michael hissed. “Will it make you feel better?”
The first man, purely on impulse, nodded. He didn’t reason, didn’t analyze, didn’t think, and certainly didn’t predict what was going to happen. He simply said “yes,” his chin trembling and his eyes narrowed as if he were pleading for help. He knew nothing about life, not yet. But he didn’t like learning about it either.
The angel's first action was to stretch his wings and float a few meters upwards, then he bent down face down, arching his back. He ran his soft hands over the taller man's cheeks, which for a few seconds completely disoriented him until he felt the first contact on his lower lip.
He closed his eyes, feeling each resounding kiss he received from the younger man. For his part, the other couldn't help but feel the short hairs of the human's almost invisible beard. He liked it; it was pleasant to the touch. And somehow it made him look more handsome.
It seemed as if he were undressing him tenderly, savoring every moment, every expression, every gesture. Enjoying like never before the fact that the young man gasped slightly as he tried to keep up with the rhythm of their tongues clashing. Everything was so perfect in the way he was slowly being inspected, deliberately and deliberately, provoking every corner of his body, kissing him even harder to see him so delirious and unparalleled.
Just when he felt he was about to match the archangel's speed, the latter stopped.
"That's enough for today," he sighed, wiping his lubricated lips with the sleeve of his robes.
"Yes... You're right..." Adam replied in a calm, though slightly forced, voice.
Michael, for his part, only smiled one last time before leaving. He couldn't stay there for long, unlike Lucifer. He wasn't sent to accompany humans, much less to interact with them; he was only there when things weren't under Lucifer's control—Lucifer being a novice at this—besides, his role was more... hand-to-hand combat—in the sense of fighting—he wasn't a pervert.
"Anyway, I finished my work here. See you later, Adam," he murmured in his ear with a seductive tone—done on purpose—before raising his wings and leaving.
"Yes, okay. Anyway, I didn't want to be with you all day." He waved his hand listlessly as he turned away, acting as if what had just happened meant nothing to him.
When he checked that the archangel had completely disappeared, he saw him hiding behind a nearby tree and collapsing to the ground. His hand rose, covering his entire jaw, his eyes completely blank—who wouldn't be like this after kissing an angel? Even worse, an archangel, he wondered to himself, trying to figure out what to do now. He knew that God, his father, could see everything, absolutely everything. Did that mean God had seen them? Would he receive any punishment for committing such a carnal act with the purest angel of the Lord?
He probably wouldn't sleep well that night; and he had good reason to.
Lucifer watched him from the shadow of a mango tree. In his chest, something burned—not divine fire, but something more human, more sick. A desire that grated to his bones. A desire he felt; no; knew, that would lead to his downfall. But he didn't hesitate to take action because of this.
"That was supposed to be me," he snorted adorably—it was unexpected given the angelic nature he still possessed, for the moment—even so, his feelings were in turmoil. He wouldn't let this situation pass unnoticed, no; he would do something worse.
Yes, it's true. Lucifer fell in love with Adam.
That's what he says, he convinces himself, but he knows deep down in his soul that it isn't so. He had "fallen in love" simultaneously, in a frenzied, shameless, agonizing way. And desperate, no doubt, I should add, because this possessive outburst could only be truly understood if it had permeated and saturated every particle of the chestnut man's soul and heart; but that's as far as it went. He was unable to express the sensations that electrified him like a spark, trying to urge him to act, but he didn't, as I said, all out of respect for the master. But now, seeing how his own brother—who, in any case, had more prestige and success than him, yet both were given the same rules—broke that rule and there was no immediate punishment, broke him completely. And he had already made his decision.
After that there was a silence, a shameless silence that Lucifer took with him.
(...)
Lilith and Adam had argued again. This time, Lilith was completely fed up with him. She couldn't stand being near him; he was simply irritating, in her own words.
"You know what, Adam?" she turned her gaze defiantly. "If it were up to me, I would have left you a long time ago."
Adam didn't respond. He knew deep down that what she was saying made sense. But he refused to accept it, not out loud. He still clung to the faintest hope that they could fix things and that everything could go back to the way it was. Ever since Lucifer arrived, things had only gotten worse for both of them.
"And I don't doubt it for a second," he admitted reluctantly. "I know you like Lucifer, just so you know."
"Anyone would rather be with Lucifer if you were the other option," she said proudly. This time, she didn't say anything else after that, and she left him alone, as always.
This time, Adam didn't go after her. He didn't want to keep groveling, begging for forgiveness and pleading with her to speak to him again. Sometimes he replayed those wretched memories over and over, wondering, in the glow of that distant summer, when his life began to unravel. He, stubborn as ever, always convinced himself that they simply weren't compatible. He liked to follow the rules, and Lilith liked to be a free and rebellious soul. Just like Lucifer, a perfect match, right?
"If they love each other so much, then let them have children. They'd be doing me a huge favor!" he exclaimed to the sky, as if his words were being heard—and they were.
As soon as he finished speaking—without thinking about what would happen next—he picked up a stone and threw it into the nearest pond in an attempt to calm the anger that had been building up over the past few days. He would have done other, worse things if he hadn't been attacked by a jet of water that slammed into his face.
"What the hell?! Who splashed me—" When she finished speaking, she looked at the pond once more; it was Michael.
"Well, well, marital problems?" he chuckled softly.
Adam, on the other hand, cautiously began splashing water on him, which splattered against his radiant and elegant attire. The scene was amusing, both of them playing in the pond like little children; from any perspective, they looked cute together. Perhaps their destiny wasn't to be together, but at the same time, they longed to be.
Even though they only kissed once—and the last time—it was something that forged a bond between them after that day. Whenever Adam needed to vent, his angel was there waiting with open arms to comfort him and purify his soul whenever he lost control.
Over time, the two angel siblings spent more time with one of the humans. This caused those destined to create humanity to drift further and further apart, rendering their primary function impossible. Even so, everyone benefited; everyone had the person they loved most by their side and was happy... or so we thought.
"I swear, if I see him one more time, I think I'll go mad." He gripped the edge of his bedsheets, his gaze dark and piercing, filled with resentment and hatred. Jealousy was poisoning his soul every second, and just remembering that scene of the kiss between the first man and the most powerful archangel filled him with envy. His throat felt as if it were being contaminated with venom, venom he longed to spit in his brother's face until it burned. "I think it's time to take action."
He got out of bed and walked to the hallway, ready to begin his work in Eden. He passed rows of portraits and statues that gleamed in their former glory. His path, marked by celestial carpets tinged with pastel cream, halted as he looked up at a gigantic portrait of Michael, hung with meticulous care on a golden plaque. A cream-colored lamb rested in his lap, as fluffy and perfect as Michael himself. His expression was angelic; eyes closed completely, an eternal smile that seemed to radiate a light of hope and harmony when you gazed upon it. This was no surprise, because the rising sun—in the East—illuminated the portrait in all its splendor. Michael looked unashamed, untouchable, unique, incomparable, so perfect that everyone knew him as "the angel sent by God," or something like that, depending on the person.
Lucifer remained unmoved, not this time. He raised his arm, and with a snap of his fingers, the harmonious face of the archangel Michael was covered with a black stain bearing a prominent X in the center.
"Much better."
(...)
Adam had been depressed these past few days. His friend Michael hadn't come to see him like he always did. For a moment, he thought Michael had left him because he didn't want anything to do with him anymore and was fed up with his childish behavior—that's what Lilith always told him—until he found a letter lying in the middle of the woods where they usually hung out together. The letter, in short, explained the reason for his absence and said he wants to see him in a cave near the river.
A request a little strange even for Adam himself, but he did not give it so much importance to him. The only thing that crossed his mind was to show him the new type of flower that he discovered last week when he was not there.
He was a little late, since Lilith did not stop annoying him for the simple fact that Lucifer had also been absent, such made Adam himself worry. Did something happen in the sky for the children to be present? He will soon find out.
When he arrived at his destination inspection the area a little, it smelled bad, it was very dark; You could hardly see anything and to top it all off it was very cold. This began to take a stranger turn, as the archangel was invited to hate such places.
"Emmm, Michael? Are you here buddy?" I ask as if I were going to receive an answer. His voice was round like an echo throughout the cave which made him tense
As he was about to leave, he heard a familiar voice behind him.
"Adam, help me, I'm trapped!" a weak voice could be heard begging for his help.
"Michael? Ugh, I'm comming idiot."
With each step he took it became darker, Adam began to be afraid but he wanted to help his friend so he took courage and began to get deeper and deeper and much deeper into this dark cave.
"Michael? Where are you?" before he finished speaking he felt a hand pull his arm tightly, reflexively he let out a scream that could be heard throughout Eden, even in Lilith.
(...)
Adam was stunned by what he was seeing, a small light was shining in front of him, the light of his best friend's halo. His best friend was already inert on the ground with a dagger in his chest as if spilled - according to adam's perspective - golden liquid.
Words wouldn't come out of his mouth, his hands and legs wouldn't react, only his pupils seemed to tremble as he considered what to do next. He mustered his courage and took a few steps forward, his shoulders rising and falling, his breath catching as he intercepted a sound from the back of the same cave, only darkness was visible and he couldn't identify the thing that was there.
"Michael..." he murmured, his voice broken.
"So... who's the cute one now?" Lucifer's pronouncement shattered the anthemic silence like a knife.
His clothes were stained with the same golden liquid, his hands were clasped behind him. The thunder of his footsteps toward both beings made Adam begin to choke on his ragged breath when he stopped a few meters away, only because the present corpse of his brother blocked his path, and Lucifer...
Lucifer smiled at him.
Adam shuddered physically at the sight.
"Why did you do it?" he questioned, his eyes filled with terror and pleading for mercy if he planned to hurt him too.
"Are you seriously asking me why?" Lucifer said, walking past him as if he hadn't seen the ferocious growl on Adam's face. "I thought you already knew. I wouldn't have thought you were that stupid." His wing gently touched the other's back, making him let out a whimper.
He knew in his conscience what he had done, but he didn't want to say it aloud in case he got confused in the process. Adam stared at him intently; now there was a wariness, which he tried to hide behind a stubborn, nervous, and repulsive smile. "This has to be a joke," he tried to console himself, but reality was working against him.
"He was your brother... Lu." His breath broke into ragged gasps; His skin prickled, and a tremor ran through his fingers as if his body wanted to flee before his mind could comprehend what it saw.
"And you are mine." Lucifer said it without hesitation, with such absolute certainty that the air grew heavy. Adam looked at him then, and tears welled in his eyes, but also something else: compassion. That compassion enraged him.
The trembling hadn't gone away; it was still there, in his hands, in his ragged breathing, in the echo of that image he couldn't erase. But something inside him—a thin thread of rage or instinct—began to tighten.
The fear remained, yes, but now it burned.
"I am not yours, Lucifer," he whispered, raising his gaze. And although his voice trembled, his steps remained firm, keeping him rooted to the spot.
"You were from the moment you took your first breath," the angel whispered. "From the moment your voice spoke my name before his."
The angel raised a hand and caressed his cheek, drawing closer to his face. The human's skin was warm, fragile, so alive it hurt. "Why can't you love me as I love you?" Lucifer asked, his voice cracking with tenderness and madness.
Then he kissed him. A hungry, desperate kiss, full of fire and ruin. Adam tried to pull away, but Lucifer held him tightly, feeling the human's heart pound frantically beneath his chest. The taller being tried to speak, but his voice was lost between his lips, weighed down by obsession and fear. Lucifer held him tighter, so tight that the boundary between love and destruction ceased to exist.
Adam, as expected, tried to defend himself however he could, his arms flailing in the air as he tried to tear his lips away from Lucifer's.
Finally, Lucifer stopped, releasing the lips of the poor human who was still terrified, leaving a trail of saliva in his wake. "If I can't have you..." he whispered, his voice trembling more like a plea than a threat. "Neither can Heaven."
These words sounded like they had just come from a maniac with a wicked grin. He knew he had to do something before it was too late. Lucifer pulled out a small, fine-tipped, salmon-colored knife. Even so, knowing what he was about to do, a smile split his face in two, like a crack in a divine statue. Beautiful, yes, but devoid of all compassion. It was the smile of an angel who had forgotten the light and learned to mark what belonged to him.
"Goodbye, Adam." The dagger struck beneath the tall man's ribs. He had no time to react, only a strangled groan that seemed like it would be the last thing that would ever come from his lips.
Lucifer held him as the body grew cold in his arms.
For a moment, he thought he would cry. But he didn't. He only laughed, softly, almost tenderly.
"Now you are only mine," he whispered, resting his forehead against Adam's. "No one else will touch you, no one else will look at you. Not even God."
Lucifer cradled him like someone protecting a treasure, kissing his forehead, his closed eyelids, his lips that no longer breathed. He knew what would happen after the first man's absence; he would probably face the worst punishment, but at least he had accomplished his goal, and that was enough.
Eden fell silent. Only the echo of their names floated in the air, and a final breath mingled with the wind. As expected, the ground seemed to be collapsing; he saw it coming. He knew that if one of them died, Eden would become unstable, and he knew that very soon the other angels—and probably God as well—would come to find out what had happened. He could already picture in his mind the expressions of the archangels upon seeing such a scene, worse still: the leader of their army dead and the first man, mercilessly murdered by the Lord's own creation. Now that he mentions it, Lilith crossed his mind; for a moment he thought, "He would have killed her too, but if he had, she'd probably run into Adam at some point. And he hated that." He didn't care what they would do with her; perhaps they would make another man for her, or who knew, but he knew it wouldn't be the same, so there was no problem with that. With his thumb, he caressed Adam's now-cold cheek, his hand brushing against Michael's for a moment, as if they were trying to touch each other even in the afterlife. Lucifer, noticing this, kicked his beloved brother's corpse with disgust and carried Adam's out of the cave. He stopped at a precipice, dangling his feet in the air, sitting on the edge, Adam's body resting in his lap.
"You are mine," he murmured, his voice breaking. "And now, even in death, you still are."
THE END.
To be honest, I didn't know what to put to start with, but it was hard to finish because, if anything isn't clear:
There might be some typos or nonsensical parts, that's because I speak Spanish, not English—not very well, my apologies.
Adam and Michael were lovers, they just wouldn't admit it.
Lilith had another husband later, but she started missing Adam and developed a phobia of angels.
Lucifer was God's punishment, yes. He was obviously taken to Hell and remained alone for eternity, although he became obsessed with painting and drawing Adam everywhere.
Adam died definitively, but he reincarnated as an ordinary human being thousands of years later—and was taken to Heaven where he met Lilith, but didn't know who she was, by the way—although I think they started some kind of relationship afterward.
Michael sadly died; his soul is just a follower of God. He never had a physical form again, although he sometimes speaks with the new Adam.
Lucifer had a son and named him Adam—kind of like Charlie, but not quite.
(Outside of the story)
This story is based on obsession and a yandere version of Lucifer—I love him—and I think it's about a fantasy I had when my ex left me for someone else, lol, but that was three years ago, I don't care now.
