D3rlord3 - Now fully corrupted by the King’s influence, but he still keeps his personality despite going insane. Has yellow tentacles.
Reader - Average Skywars player, also a monsterfucker. Best friends with Avery, both are a pair of brave idiots. Figured out that the world had something wrong with it, but they’re into that freaky shit.
Avery - Best Skywars player, has NO idea what’s going on. Aromantic.
The King in Yellow - The same entity haunting the world, nothing much has changed except that d3rlord3 is under their control in a way. Amused at Avery’s audacity, and now Reader’s whore tendencies. Has black tentacles.
Both d3rlord3 and The King in Yellow can enter the 3 dimensional reality thanks to weird powers. For the King in Yellow, most of what he does in the fic will be hallucinations that physically affect reader, mostly because it brings more enjoyment for him that reader suffers both mental and physical damage without anything being done to them in reality, this also includes his tentacles. For d3rlord3, it also applies the same way, but it's due to how he's restrained on the King in Yellow's control — his tentacles, however, are physical.
Avery is not actually stupid in this fic, but he's more impulsive and air-headed, which leads to a lot of things happening. Reader will also be going along with whatever Avery wants to do, largely because of habit from playing skywars together, but also because Avery doesn't coward out and can be pretty grounding when things start growing tense.
