Chapter Text
The day starts like any other for Sonic the Hedgehog. He is running through Leaf Storm, today’s location for his morning run. He is having the time of his life tricking off any obstacle in his path, running up trees, grinding on vines, and just generally boosting through the forest. However, if he took the time to look up at the sky, he would have noticed a black object slowly approaching the Earth.

Sonic the Hedgehog soon finds Dr. Eggman in the forest. Knowing the doctor’s presence can bring nothing good, Sonic dashes up to him.
Sonic: Eggman! What are you up to now!
Eggman: Sonic! You little pest! Just you wait, soon, the ultimate power will be within my grasp. And then, I shall be invincible!
Sonic: I may not know what your plan is, but I can tell you it’s never going to work.
The blue hedgehog and the doctor begin to fight with the doctor in his brand-new Egghammer Mega. Eggman and Sonic go back and forth at it. The Egghammer Mega slams the stage left and right; Sonic barely manages to avoid its attacks while also attacking the cockpit.
Just as Sonic is about to land the final hit on the machine, a small fiery vortex suddenly crashes onto the scene, defeating the machine.
Seeing as he is out numbered. Eggman decides to leave the scene.
Eggman: I won’t forget this!
Sonic however is still in shock processing what happened.
Sonic: W-wait! Eggman!
The vortex, in the meantime, has revealed itself to be a purple cat. She begins muttering to herself as she picks up a blue gem off the ground.
???: Finally, I have the second one. (To Sonic) Thank you for taking care of him.
Sonic suddenly whips around, as the purple figure leaps from the scene.
Sonic: Huh?! Who was that?
Just before Sonic can take off after the mysterious figure, he receives a call on his transmitter.
Tails: Sonic, we need you in Westopolis immediately! The city is being attacked by aliens!
Sonic: Aliens?!
Tails: Yes! You need to get over there now! (hangs up)
With no time to lose, Sonic immediately begins dashing in the direction of the city. He hopes he can make sense of everything that just happened on his way there.
Leaf Storm Clear
