Work Text:

Benjamin was always appreciative of missions that went well, and he imagined Jadzia, O’Brien, and Bashir did as well. Each of them found a different kind of satisfaction in their work. Benjamin felt a deep sense of responsibility and was always relieved when a mission ended smoothly. He appreciated Julian's enthusiasm and saw himself in the young officer's eagerness. He admired how Julian's zeal reminded him of the early years of his own career and marriage, when every flight into the unknown was an opportunity rather than a risk, and Jennifer had enjoyed the thrill as well.

Sometimes, when he watched the light dance in Julian's eyes as he discussed his latest medical breakthrough or new exploration, Benjamin couldn't help but feel a flicker of something deeper beneath his admiration. It wasn't just Julian's zeal for adventure that intrigued him; there was an effortless grace in his movements and a warmth in his smile that Benjamin found compelling. Despite how others sometimes treated Julian's enthusiasm with mild mockery, Benjamin thought it was hardly fair to criticize him for it. After all, many who had become their best Captains, and indeed Admirals, had largely started as eager young officers, thrilled at the prospect of adventure.

Jadzia had a more scientific curiosity about new experiences, loving the chance to learn and explore, while O’Brien derived satisfaction from solving mechanical puzzles and restoring damaged systems to perfect working order. This had been a rather simple trip, since one of Bajor’s inhabited moons had recently suffered a severe tachyon storm; as a result, O’Brien had come along to help repair some systems that had been damaged, Jadzia came to study the atmospheric changes, Benjamin came to offer physical labor help since Major Kira had sadly caught a strain of Andolian flu that was very harsh for Bajorans, and Bashir had naturally tended to the wounded.

He may thrill at the idea of adventure, but when there were injured people, he was all business and worked like lightning to patch people up or perform major surgery. He had worked for hours, and, unlike the science, engineers, and physical labourers, the medics were unable to take proper breaks since there were so few of them available, but Bashir never complained even once. None of them begrudged the Doctor now dozing in his bunk at the rear of the shuttle, though they had to question their own sensibilities when Julian moaned in his sleep, drawing each of their attention. Julian’s bunk was in such a position that they all saw it as he stretched, and his lack of uniform was made all the more apparent as it had been a mess when Julian was finished and more relief arrived, and the replicators weren’t working, so one of the volunteers had given Julian plain black trousers and a plain black t-shirt to change into.

When they were underway, Julian had meant to go to their replicators and get a new uniform, only for Jadzia and O’Brien to manhandle the Doctor into his bunk, remarking no one minded if Julian slept in some civilian clothing. But now, that black t-shirt was riding up, showing a sliver of that trim waist, and those dark trousers did a good job of reminding them of Julian’s impossibly long legs that went on for miles. As Benjamin tried to focus on flying the shuttle, he ordered O’Brien to get some rest himself since he had done the most work after Julian.

As Miles got into his bunk, he tried to keep his mind from thinking too much about Julian's little moans and whimpers, but that eager face, always willing to help and please, refused to leave him alone. Despite his best efforts to maintain focus, his thoughts kept circling back to the young doctor. He found himself deeply surprised by the strength of his attraction and struggled with the unexpected emotions it stirred in him. Miles had always considered himself 100% heterosexual, never once questioning it during his years on the Enterprise, where he was surrounded by plenty of handsome men who never caught his eye. Yet, Julian Bashir, who had initially struck him as loud and annoying, was different. Miles felt an unsettling mix of confusion and curiosity as he tried to reconcile these feelings with his previous certainties.

Now, in the quiet of the ship, with only the gentle hum of the engines for company, he found space to dwell on these thoughts more deeply. What did it mean for him if his attraction to Julian was genuine? Was this an isolated incident, or was there a part of him he had never truly explored? The ship's gentle hum seemed to amplify his thoughts, leaving him pondering whether this was a fleeting anomaly or something more profound. More importantly, what would it mean for his relationship with Julian and, by extension, with himself? The more Miles thought, the more he realized that these feelings were opening a door he had never considered walking through before.

He had used the man's personality to bury his appreciation, only for the kid to prove himself to be an honorable, compassionate, and more quirky than obnoxious person. Keiko had remarked that Julian was too skinny to really draw her eye, but Miles knew if he asked, she would welcome him into their bed. As his thoughts wandered deeper into fantasy, Miles felt his cock start to harden, a familiar heat spreading through him. In his mind's eye, he saw Julian kneeling before him, lips parting with a breathless eagerness, those dark eyes fixed on him with obedient anticipation. Miles could almost feel the warmth and wetness enveloping him, Julian's tongue working magic with each movement, guided and praised by Keiko's soft, encouraging words.

The imagined warmth and wetness enveloping him was almost tangible, and Miles could nearly feel Julian's tongue moving with a precise, dedicated rhythm, drawing soft sounds of pleasure from him. Keiko's soft, guiding words echoed in the background of his fantasy, encouraging and praising Julian's efforts. As Miles sank further into the vivid fantasy, he envisioned Julian's eyes fluttering closed, a serene submission etched across his features. He imagined Julian responding to every praise with a subtle shiver, the young man's deepest desire to be commended for the dedication he unfailingly showed in all he pursued. Wrapped in this vivid daydream, the shiver that ran down Miles' spine was deeper, mingling with the sense of admiration and need, creating a perfect, fervent longing.

He managed to shimmy out of the top half of his uniform enough that he could reach into his briefs and pull his cock out to try and relieve the pressure building down there, unaware that his two superior officers were having similar problems. Jadzia was an interesting case as she enjoyed Julian chasing after her, she just wanted him to mature a little since she had no desire to be a notch in anyone’s bedpost so, if she ‘allowed’ herself to be ‘caught’ by Julian, it would only be as an Angosian Troci snake where the male chased the female, only for the female to lure the male into a trap and then mate like Earth rabbits. Jadzia had no intention for Julian to die as some Troci did from the mating, but the effect was the same; once she was certain he was ready, he would be hers.

As she felt her cock harden in her trousers, she excused herself to the fresher to take care of it, the image sharpening in her mind. She had teased Julian about how submissive his dream version of her had been, but in truth, she imagined the alien who had attached herself to Julian, rather got her signals crossed. Julian honestly struck her as someone who would be far more comfortable taking orders in bed than giving them. Unlike the others, save Dr. Girani, who gave Julian his physicals, Jadzia knew Julian was trans and had opted not to get bottom surgery done; he just identified as a male and hated his breasts.

Yet, there was a part of Julian, only partly known to himself, that wondered about some of these dynamics. The idea of submission did intrigue him, though it was often overshadowed by his ambitions and professional demeanor. He occasionally pondered how much he wanted to explore his fantasies further, questioning if there was more to discover beyond the persona he showed the world. Jadzia, aware of this internal conflict, felt a pull of anticipation, knowing that Julian’s journey into self-discovery might be even more intriguing than she initially imagined, and she was perfectly willing to help him; if there was anything Trills understood, it was the complexities of gender-identity and its roles in life.

As she reached for her ribbed cock, her mind’s eye saw Julian on his hands and knees in her bed, eager to accept all she had to give him, and she had a lot to give. He would no doubt expect her to start with his ass or pussy, such was the folly of youth; she would start properly, by running her fingers through his hair, as there were so few people who truly appreciated petting, and she knew Julian would. After running her fingers through his hair (which, she imagined, was as soft as it looked), she would stroke his ears for just a moment before going for the neck and shoulders she knew Garak enjoyed admiring. She would, of course, blindfold Julian the first time so he wouldn’t be able to see just how far Trill spots went, and this would heighten his sensitivity since he would naturally assume she would go for his sides next, only to go for his too skinny hips. She definitely needed to tend to that, as Julian would be just as beautiful with some proper meat on his bones; she didn’t know how he was able to eat the way he did and still be so skinny, but she’d fix it.

As she carefully stroked her cock, teasing her sensitive spots in just such a manner as she would teach Julian to do for her, even her friend and Commanding Officer found his mind wandering. Benjamin knew what Jadzia was doing, and was pretty sure he could hear O’Brien tending to himself in his bunk, and though he could usually control himself, between his exhaustion from helping survivors, O’Brien’s moans, his suspicion that Trills produced pheromones to help lure potential partners, and the fact Julian really was quite beautiful, Benjamin put the shuttle on auto-pilot and carefully undid his trousers, thankful he had gone for the two-piece uniform rather than the jumpsuit.

It had been a long time since anyone but Jennifer made him feel this way, but he knew the young doctor, on the surface a vain, obnoxious, upstart, really had a very kind heart, and, though he didn’t realize it, he was great with kids. It was funny to think that one could be good with kids and not realize it, but somehow the doctor achieved it; he had been in the library, hoping to find some new recipes to try, when he saw Julian debating between two very different stories. The look of intense concentration was cute on the young man’s face, and Benjamin had been just about to go over and remind the doctor he could borrow both, when a groan of frustration had drawn their attention.

From their different spots, they looked over and saw some of Keiko’s students trying to complete their homework, and failing. He had been about to go ask them what was wrong, only for Julian to beat him to the punch; they had informed Julian that there was a difficult math test coming up in Keiko’s class, and they wanted to do well, but math wasn’t their strong suit. Before Benjamin knew what was happening, the doctor was regaling the children with a story that involved his friend Felix leading the other Cadets in the ancient relief practice of building a bonfire after finals… and running like a deer when it was revealed one of the things he had thrown into the fire was Commander Blake’s, their medical science teacher who loved trying to trip Julian up, toupee.

Blake had actually run after Felix with a log not yet thrown in the fire, and had needed to be heavily sedated when he was finally tackled by four security officers. Felix had dropped out before they could expel him, but he had definitely left his mark with a clear message; Julian was Felix’s friend, and no one had better mess with him. The children had been almost kicked out of the library with their laughter, but Benjamin managed to waylay the librarian. The important thing was that the children were no longer stressed over the test, and Julian helped them find solutions to the problems in ways they would remember.

He had seen a different side of Julian that day and, if his heart hadn’t still ached so deeply for Jennifer, he would have made a move then and there. The loss of Jennifer still lingered, a shadow casting over his every thought, but he couldn't deny that something about Julian captivated him in a way he hadn't expected. As much as he cherished the memory of Jennifer, perhaps Julian's presence offered a new beginning, merging the past with a hopeful future. It especially appeared whenever he caught Julian talking to Jadzia about the latest medical breakthrough, or gushing over the possibility of new explorations and the discoveries they may hold. The way Julian’s eyes lit up like New Orleans at Mardi Gras, the effortless grace he exuded when he stopped thinking about others in the room, and the warmth of his smile were all highly alluring, leaving Benjamin in a rather embarrassing position of his gaze lingering on the younger man.

He often struggled to suppress the unexpected swell of desire his mere presence ignited, a subtle undercurrent of attraction the doctor unknowingly sparked in many people. Considering two of his junior officers were currently fantasizing about the pretty boy, Ben might have to make a move sooner rather than later. Taking himself in hand, Ben imagined how he would be with the doctor their first time; he definitely saw ropes as the young man was so fidgety, he might either jerk away or slap Ben by accident. He wasn’t sure just how much the doctor liked kissing, but Ben was certain he could make the doctor come to love it, especially since Jennifer often remarked he was a very good kisser. The thought that perhaps Julian might also appreciate Ben's touch was strangely comforting. As he twisted his wrist to give himself more friction, he imagined slowly moving down that svelte body with his lips and hands. He could well imagine Julian trying to buck into him, but he would make him wait.

Everyone looked at Julian and saw a sweet little puppy, eager to please, and, though that was a large part of his personality, they hadn’t seen Julian when they had been transported into the early 21st century. He had needed to physically hold Julian back from engaging in the fight, and Ben had seen that sliver of ferocity that had wanted to claw its way to the surface, which would be another reason for the ropes as Ben preferred to be in charge in bed; if Julian transferred that ferocity to the bedroom, he would need to learn to control it with Benjamin. Though many saw Julian as ‘too much’, Ben highly suspected that he held back in some areas, and his temper was one of them; left unrestrained, Ben would probably be a mass of bruises, scratches, and bite marks in the morning. That was fine for quick fucks, but Ben loved taking his time with his partners, and Julian would learn to appreciate it too.

As Julian slept on, Miles came into some tissue kept by the bedside, Jadzia emptied into the fresher, and Benjamin emptied into a cloth he had used to wipe his brow back on Bajor’s moon. One thing was certain: when they got back to the station, Julian might be experiencing a lot more positive attention than he initially had experienced. After all, Miles’ new holoprogram was ready to be played, Jadzia had plenty of data to go over with his unique perspective, opening new pathways, and Ben thought Julian might appreciate learning about baseball and enjoy some proper cooking to put some proper weight on; he would need his strength. As each of them contemplated these changes, they couldn't help but wonder how these new feelings might affect their interactions on the station. Benjamin considered the potential shifts in their dynamic while Miles questioned how these emotions might alter their camaraderie. Jadzia was intrigued by the possibilities, imagining both personal and professional implications. This sense of anticipation lingered like static in the air, teasing at the potential transformations that seemed inevitable with these awakenings.
