It was quiet for once.
There was no Nendou, no meteors, no disturbances.
Just Kusuo Saiki and the comfort of silence.
Saiki was laying in his bed, germanium ring on, basking in the quiet. It was rare that such a thing were to come up. He had seen hundreds of not thousands of things at a time and now? He was being rewarded for his efforts.
He couldn't ask for anything more.
Just this.
Just silence.
Just-
Saiki jumped and turned his head to where his window had just opened.
In climbed nuisance #2: Shun Kaidou.
Saiki's heart raced in shock (from being startled).
He stayed quiet as Kaidou approached and sat on the bed.
"Hi."
Saiki stared.
"...I can't sleep."
It's 5:30, by the way.
Kaidou moved and laid down right next to Saiki. Saiki tensed. Kaidou looked in his eyes. Well... through his glasses.
"Why don't you ever take your glasses off?"
Saiki stayed silent.
"Do you wanna look cool or can you not see without them?"
Saiki inhaled.
"You don't have to answer, I have a theory."
Saiki blinked.
"...Can I stay?"
Saiki paused, then nodded.
"Good."
Kaidou moved closer and rested his head against Saiki's chest. He felt Saiki tense and then relax. Saiki's arm snaked up and held Kaidou by his waist. Kaidou snuggled closer.
"Mmm... You know, you're comfortable. Like a pillow, I guess."
Saiki hummed.
"We should do this more often." Shun shut his eyes.
Saiki stared at the ceiling. He then shifted slightly to tangle his other hand's fingers into Shun's hair. He gently kissed his forehead before shutting his eyes as well.
"...Love you."
Yeah, love you too.
