The Assembly's Itinerary

Summary:

The Assemblycavern was packed. Even moreso than in past years. Metaphorically armoured in my crimson jroyil and my full total collection of golden pferscil (as of course it was an important occasion deserving of such); I felt ready to take on any and all discussions held.

Work Text:

The Assemblycavern was packed. Even moreso than in past years. Metaphorically armoured in my crimson jroyil and my full total collection of golden pferscil (as of course it was an important occasion deserving of such); I felt ready to take on any and all discussions held. Swiftly concluding that it would be pertinent to inform myself of what, in fact, would be discussed at the Assembly, I retrieved both my mother's missive informing me of all that I should know to stand in for her while she recuperates from an illness from my scribed expandedpouch, as well as a notescroll and pen to write the items of the day's debate on a new page.

Hmm, the Mittay Mountains border conflict - the Nafoerans must sort that swiftly, it has been ongoing for so many years. That cannot be the reason for so many people here, it was on the last Assembly's itinerary too. And the one previous to that as well.

It debatably be caused by the Northern Famines of Hestwhal - representatives of each Circlewalled and their attached retinues?

Not the sun-addled-Southerners. They're Scillian and they should just admit it! Poor you, you aren't Subterraneans: go waste-your-water about it.

Pardon me.

There are not enough of them to draw this many representatives to the Assembly either, they are quite a fringe group.

Ah. The fourth (and final) issue to debate may indeed explain the numbers. The Willdens are a very... loyal group; and to debate their designated lands would be a large provocation for those dirtsouled savages. And, if I crane my neck a little... Yes I even see a few of their mangy ulfans. Disgusting. How dare even they contemplate bringing their mudborn creatures to the Assembly with them. That's just disrespectful.

Notes:

This takes place a long way at the start of the story. Won't be the first entry, but it is very close to the beginning.

Let the theories of why Jisu is so different commence!

If, by chance, someone does read this - please read the other entry/ies in this series too! I will /eventually/ write the rest of the story!
