“If you won’t get with him I’ll get with him myself” said Richie he was laying on his bed with his head hanging off the side a comic on his chest his glasses on the edge of his nose. Mike was sitting on the floor of the basement painting a D&D piece “…you're in love with Eddie you wouldn’t do that” Mike said his eyes narrowed looking up from the DND piece.
“yea I am and he would not care as long as I didn’t start dating him and if it proved a point to you right Boris?” Richie said setting up and looking at the stairs to the basement.
“Uh what are you talking about?” Boris asked, tilting his head. Entering the basement. “If I get will to have a crush on me Eddie wouldn’t mind If for a lesson to mike!” Richie says grinning “yep as long you don’t cheat on him, I’m fine with it and he will de to if you get Him on the plan first” Boris shrugs “come on guys just because y’all are gay doesn’t mean I am queer” Mike said hating this conversation “yeah and I don’t have an accent” Boris chuckled, ruffling Mike’s hair as he sat down.
on the floor “and I can see without my glasses” Richie said, hopping down off his bed “okay Guys please let’s change the subject uh Boris what are you doing tonight?” Mike asked looking at Boris “eh spending the weekend at potters” Boris said toying with a strand of hair “oh ok ok uh how about you rich you going to Eddie’s?” Mike Nodded at Boris and then looked at Richie.
“ No, I'm banned from the house now so I have to stay here,” Richie said, looking at his lap when the phone rang. None of them picked it up. Their mom picked it up from upstairs. “oh okay I’ll tell him Mike!” Karen Wheeler yelled from upstairs, making all three boys flinched.
“yeah?” Mike yelled back “wills on the phone asking for you” she said as Mike was getting up Richie was already running to the phone. “ Oh good this will be fun.” Boris whispered. Richie and Mike were fighting for the phone before Richie pushed Mike and grabbed the phone. “Hello~ hot stuff, how are you doing?” Richie said, smirking at Mike. Mike was fuming with anger “ I'm going to kill him” he whispered clenching his fists at his sides “ you should’ve consumed him in womb” Boris said, chuckling at Mike's and Richie‘s fight. His head resting on his hand.
softly, chuckling at Mike's and Richie‘s fight “aww why would you want to talk to Mike when you could talk to me~” Richie said still wearing that shit eating grin “ Can I push him?” Mike asked, turning to Boris. “If you’re asking me not to tell mum sure” Boris shrugged Mike walked up to Richie and grabs the phone, then pushed Reggie away, causing him to fall on the floor “AHH FUCK MAN” Richie screamed as Boris burst out, laughing, falling back on his back.
Mike sighed as he looked at his brother’s before turning to talk to Will“Hey will” he said as softly as he could “ hey Mike… did you just push your brother?” Will asked with clear confusion in his voice. “Uh no he tripped” Mike said try not to sound guilty
“YES YOU DID YOU MOTHER FUCKER” Richie yelled behind him Boris still laughing “okay well, when are you coming here? We’ve been waiting an hour for you and Eddie’s getting impatient.” Will asked over the phone. “Huh? what are you talking about?” Mike asked, tilting his head. He doesn’t remember anything maybe he agreed to something he doesn’t remember during lunch
“ the new campaign you the one that we’ve been talking about starting for a week then one you made a new character for?” Will said he kind of sounds surprised to hear that Mike forgot about it. “ oh crap that one okay uh do you think I can still make it?” Mike asked, gesturing for his shoes. “ Oh yeah, we’re just not gonna get much done tonight, and you might get a lecture from Eddie” Will said sounding unsure “ yeah I’ll be there bye!” Mike said frequently, trying to slip on his shoes. We didn’t even get the chance to say bye before he hung up. And started running up the stairs.
When he opened the door from the basement and try to dash out of it, he ran into Nancy, bumping into her “ oh God, I’m sorry I’m just late for something” he said Out of breath, trying to get away as fast as possible turning the corner, where he was stopped by his mom “wow where are you going at this hour?” She asked, holding her hand in front of her, “ I gotta go. I am late for a D&D campaign and the third time this month” Mike said realizing he sounds crazy his father just grumbled in his chair. He didn’t like that Mike played D&D. “ OK OK well it's dark out so you have to take one of your siblings to take either Nancy or Boris to drop you off” his mom said not wanting to fight him “ what? I’m going to be safe. It’s only seven.” Mike said he was going to get one hell of a lecture from Eddie “ still it’s dark out and I don’t trust you in that area of the neighborhood so you have to take somebody Nancy Boris!” She yelled for His siblings they both showed up in the kitchen fourth was stranding more straight than usual
“Yes, Mom?” They both asked looking scared as if they both did something wrong “Who wants to walk Mike to his D&D thing” their mom said softly.
Richie came running around the corner “ why can’t I take him, we're all 16 here, except Nancy!” He said adjusting his glasses. “ because the last time you dropped Mike somewhere you ended up in Juvie.” Their mom says her voice lined with disappointment, her hands on her hips when she looked at Richie Richie sighed walking back downstairs, “ if y’all need me, I’ll be in the basement” he said before closing the door “I can drop them off if you would like” said Boris raising his hand and gently “ we haven’t gone in time to spend time with each other” he added smiling “oh that would be so nice thank you so much be back by 10:30 okay?” miss Wheeler said, hugging Boris. “Yes I know ma know now we gotta go before Mike is banned from his little club” Boris said
escaping his mothers hold draping his arm over Mike’s shoulders “come on little brother” Boris said dragging Mike out of the house the cold air hits Mike like a bus hugging himself with his arms “fuck man it’s so cold” he said to himself
they walked in silence before Boris broke it “so you sure you don’t have a crush on will?” He said frost coming out of his mouth. A smile on his face “I don’t have a crush on him for the last time!” Mike says sending a glare at Boris “ it’s so obvious you have a crush on him” Boris says a smile on his lips “ come on like you know anything you do more drugs than an average person” mike says Boris open his mouth before closing it again “and besides I don’t think I like anyone like that…” Mike said hugging himself tighter their steps were in sync while they walked. “ What do you mean?” Boris asks, tilting his head. His hands are in his pockets “like when I was with El she still felt like a friend, but a friend I made out with.” Mike tries to explain but does terribly as he could see on Boris face “isn’t that what a boyfriend or girlfriend is?” He says confusion thick in his voice.
“No no you don’t get it like I wasn’t attracted to her romantically” Mike said “so you just wanted to fuck her?” Boris said a small smile was visible on his face
“ what no we were 13 and I don’t think it was that either. I don’t think I’m able to have a romantic relationship with somebody if that makes sense.” Mike says tripping on on his feet “ that doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m going to pretend it does for you” Boris says “ well that’s better than anything thanks” Mike sighs unwrapping his arms from
himself “yeah your welcome little brother” Boris says taking Mike in a side hug “we’re the same age!” Mike yells put his head in his hands “ i’m three seconds older than you” Boris says with a shit eating grin “ three seconds is nothing” Mike says
“ it’s everything!” Boris yells and they both start laughing. “By the way do you think Eddie, who is in your little campaign thing, will sell some of his good stuff to me?” Boris asked, looking at Mike like he was serious “Boris!” Mike yells but not loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear. “what I’m just asking.” Boris says, throwing his hands up and surrendering.
“You can’t buy drugs right now” Mike tells Boris pointing at with a sharp finger “why not because your friends are there?” Boris said chuckling “ no it’s because you can’t sneak it in the house. You’re just wearing a T-shirt and jeans.” Mike said, pinching his nose with a humorless laugh “oh.” Boris whispered“Yeah oh and mom will smell that shit so fast” Mike pointed out “ well fuck” Boris deadpan sending them into another fit of laughter walking to the meet up
