Chapter Text
I don't like doing update chapters, but I figured this fic needs one.
I don't want to abandon this fic and I refuse to. However, I work a day job, have several disabilities (latest bipolar installment includes an ER visit apparently), am working on other (kinda mid tbh) fanfics, am about to start college, writing a novel, AND about to start a webcomic. Progress will be very, very slow, but I'm not giving up on this fic. The biggest factor here is writer's block; I have the entire story planned out, but the buildup to the major plot points is my writing equivalent to eating shit onto the pavement. So, instead, I'm going to keep writing, but I'll be writing the scenes out of order as they come to me. After each chapter comes out I'll arrange them in order of the story (if that makes sense), so they can be *read* in the correct order.
If you want to read my webcomic - which is about a magical trans girl and her journey of self-discovery - it'll probably be posted on my writing tumblr, makycardia, starting a month or two from now, unless/until I find an alternative place to post it. The comic itself will not be 18+, but some of my other stories will be, and most websites that claim to support artists/writers/any creative medium really have a tendency to shadowban people for either being marginalized (ex. Black people, transgender women, etc) or being involved with NSFW content, and I technically check both boxes. Couple that with censorship laws that not only intend to stifle my creative freedom as a queer person, but are also designed to barricade children from educational resources (which is a point that isn't talked about enough, by the way), and it's kinda rough. I just wanna be a chill guy that writes about characters being put in situations. But instead, I have to worry about my existence, let alone anything I make or do, being thrown out like trash for existing 👍
But anyways this fic ain't that deep lol. I'm quite excited to continue this. Updates won't be consistent and, again, chapters will be posted out of order - except for the final 2-3.
