The fear and rage rolled through her as the bullies held her down. They'd already made her drop the flowers she'd have to hide from her family as anything that brought her happiness was destroyed.
She wished she had the powers of her ancestor, Slytherin, but...
“Put her down,” a new voice said.
“But Tom,” the ones holding her said even as they let her go.
“Are you okay,” he asked. She nodded.
Tom handed her back her flowers. He turned away and walked off with the boys. Her heart pounded and coveted more than just flowers.
