--anthropomorphic-personifications of the dark and light side show up to duke it out over the fate of the galaxy
--it was the hutts all along
--last movie all happened in a dreamscape/hallucination/force-vision
--key figures from past movies didn’t actually die, they force-time-traveled to the present time
--settling their differences with another lightsaber duel on a different, BETTER salt planet
note: last one would need to be more dramatic. maybe salt caves? salt chasms? there's something here.
