"You brushed your teeth?" Inko asked, securing the hat strap around Izuku's chin.
Izuku nodded, disrupting her efforts. "Yup!
Inko smoothed out his smock from where it had caught on his backpack. "And you have your bento?"
"Oh," Izuku said, sheepish, "I forgot."
Quickly, Inko stood up and went back to the kitchen. The bento was there on the counter, exactly where she'd left it.
Behind her, the latch of the door clicked.
"Izuku, wait!" Inko called. She grabbed the bento and hurried back.
Izuku stood with one foot out the door, tie unruly, taller than her. "Oh. Thanks Mom."
