Shots of RWBY

Summary:

Some lil ideas and short stories in the world of RWBY, featuring some crossover scenarios as well.

Notes:

Adam (or at least my version of Adam) is a sympathetic antagonist and like all good sympathetic antagonists, he needs a rival!

Blake thinks that it is her......spoiler alert it's not

Chapter 1: If Jaune and Adam Were Rivals

Chapter Text

After having once again successfully convinced (forced) her team and sister team to come with her to investigate another White Fang outpost in Vale, Blake would admit that she was mistaken in underestimating the severity of this venture.

They had intended to take this one stealthily but then Nora ended up getting found out and deciding to go crazy and start smashing people with her hammer, Blake could realize that things were only going to get worse.

She just didn't anticipate how bad they were.

Because standing in front of her with a wave of killing intent and scowling was her old mentor and partner in the White Fang......Adam Taurus.

Blake knew this day would come, of course it would. She had been disrupting the Fang's plans as of late and she had left him, of course he would come out sooner or later and deal with it himself.

"You showed up...." He said coldly, not even bothering to unsheathe wilt from blush.

Blake gripped Gambol Shroud tightly and gritted her teeth, not backing down from him at all, "Yes, I came to stop yo-"

"Uhm Blake." He cut off her dramatic and heroic speech that she had prepared and looked at her rather awkwardly, even scratching the back of his neck, "Could you just move to the side a little bit, you're kind of in the way."

Blake raised an eyebrow at him, this.....this was not how she imagined their reunion going, "Excuse me?"

Adam sighed, "Just move a little bit to the right or the left, either way is fine. But right now you're interrupting a fated meeting between rivals."

Blake's arms fell to the side, what on Remnant was he talking about? Was she not his rival?

Glancing behind her, where the apparent 'rival' was Blake was met with......Jaune.

He looked just as awkward as Adam did, like he was also waiting for her to move but didn't want to say anything. He sword and shield were out as well like he was waiting to fight Adam and she was in the way

"Huh?" Was all that came out of her mouth, too confused and bamboozled to say anything else. She unknowingly stepped to the side as well, which earned a grateful smile from Jaune and a sigh of relief from Adam.

The bull ended up clearing his throat, "You showed up." He repeated again, in the same tone as earlier.

Jaune scoffed, "You know, you can sure throw one lousy party Taurus. No food, no drinks and the only babes you brought are friggin crazy."

Adam grinned, "My deepest apologies Mr. Arc, I was so eager to see that I couldn't concentrate on the preparations for the 'bash'."

Jaune just shrugged his shoulders before he got into a fighting stance, "Well either way, you promised me a party and that's what I want!"

Adam scoffed, finally unsheathing Wilt as he to got into a fighting stance, "That all depends on your skill."

However before either men could charge at each other, Blake finally had enough.

"ALRIGHT!! TIME THE HELL OUT!!!" She screeched, causing both men to stop.

"What the heck is going on here?!" She demanded.

Adam and Jaune stared at her like SHE was the crazy one.

"We were about to fight and you interrupted us." Adam said and he the gull to actually sound annoyed.

"I can see that Adam!" Blake exclaimed, her sanity slowly dwindling, "What I meant was WHY are you fighting Jaune?! Why is HE your rival? You two have never even met up until this point!"

"Actually we did meet each other earlier." Jaune admitted.

"What?" Blake scowled.

"When I was travelling from home to get to Beacon, I saw the white Fang were raiding one of those SDC trains and I stepped in to stop them." Jaune explained.

"And he did," Adam grumbled, "While Mr. Arc might not have trained in the conventional ways like we did, he still proved a worthy adversary, taking down all my men to get to me. Of course he could only go so far, I was able to absolutely dominate our battle, however no matter what I did to him, Jaune Arc always got back up." Adam had a ghost of a smile on his face.

"His absolute refusal to give up in the face of a battle he could not win, earned him my respect and made him worthy enough to be my rival!" Adam exclaimed, getting back into his fighting stance and so did Jaune.

Blake honestly couldn't believe what she was hearing, one encounter with Jaune was enough for Adam to declare him as a rival, but she wasn't!

"But what about me?!" Blake begged.

From underneath his mask, Blake saw one of Adam's eyebrows raise, "What about you?"

"Uhm, did you forget that I left the fang, I left YOU! And have been working tirelessly to stop you and the White Fang from being terrorists! I should be your rival!" Blake yelled.

Adam sighed, in the way a parent would do when dealing with their unruly child, "Blake, did it ever occur to you that I could've come after you ANY TIME I wanted?"

"Huh?"

"Yes, I could've sent my men to capture you or I could've done it myself before you even enrolled in Beacon." Adam explained, "But I didn't, because I had faith you'd realize you were making a stupid mistake and come back to us or in the event that we crossed paths on the battlefield I would be able to swiftly take you down."

By now most of the fighting had stopped and everyone was watching the scene before them in curiosity or pity on Team RWBY's case.

"This is getting pretty sad." Yang leaned over to her sister and leader.

"Yeah," Ruby responded, "You think we should go and help her?"

"Speak for yourselves." Weiss said, looking smug she was enjoying every second of this.

Blake began to splutter, "B-Bu-I-I-Y-You're supposed to be obsessed with me!" She finally grounded out, "Getting back at me! Destroying everything I love for leaving you should be your main priority!"

Adam looked absolutely befuddled at her rant, "Blake......what I want is Justice for all our Faunus brothers and sisters and for all the humans who hurt us to pay for what they've done. That's the whole reason I joined the White Fang in the first place, you're making me sound like I should be some obsessed ex-boyfriend or something."

Blake tried to speak again, but she couldn't form the words, everything she had been preparing for had gone up in smoke at this point.

"If it helps," Jaune spoke up, getting her out of her stupor, "I'm gonna make sure to beat him this time...." He offered.

Blake just threw her hands in the air, "You know what? Fine, kill each other for all I care!" She then stomped off, mumbling something about 'needing a drink for this'.

Adam shrugged his shoulders as he looked back at Jaune, "Women, I'm I right?"

Jaune didn't say anything because he had Five women who could kill him ten times over, staring at his back. Instead he got into a fighting stance as the two finally commenced in their duel.
