Love Is Blind (American TV series)
Love Is Blind is a reality television series on Netflix created by Chris Coelen and produced by Kinetic Content which ranks as the number one most-watched streaming original series of all time. Described as a social experiment, the series follows an equal number of men and women hoping to find love.
For 10 days, the men and women date each other in purpose-built "pods", small rooms where they can talk to each other by speaker but not see each other. The cast members are initially paired in a speed-dating format, but later can choose to have longer dates. The daters may extend a marriage proposal whenever they feel ready. A couple meets face-to-face only after a marriage proposal is accepted. The engaged couples then head to a couples' retreat at a resort for one week.
After the couples' retreat, the engaged couples move to an apartment complex in the city where they live for the final three weeks of the experiment. At the apartments, they meet their partners' friends and families and learn more about their partners' lives, exploring issues such as finances, recreation, and personal habits. They also plan weddings to be held at the end of four weeks, wherein each participant decides whether to say "I do" and get legally married.

What are your hobbies? List 3 things you enjoy doing in your free time.
I enjoy playing volleyball in a rec league on the weekends, studying languages (I’ve gotten French and Spanish under my belt, and am currently working on my Korean!), and watching old, black-and-white movies in run-down theatres.
How long have you been single? Why did your last relationship end?
I’ve been single for 5 years. My last relationship was a deeply romantic fling in Paris with a man I met shortly after I moved to the city. He was lovely—and we’re still friends—but it was a rebound. He asked me to visit his grandmother with him in Mexico City, and I panicked. At the time, I knew I wasn’t ready for something so serious, but I’m ready now.
What is something you wish your past romantic partners appreciated about you?
I am willing to fight for us. In the past, I’ve felt that my romantic partners took this for granted—either by not telling me that they appreciated it or disrespecting how loyal I was. A previous partner cheated on me and expected that I would be willing to fight for him because I loved him. The worst part was that I did.
What familial and cultural traditions are important to you that you'd like to carry over into your marriage one day?

My mother is Korean, so I grew up with many Korean traditions that I would like my future husband and children to experience with me, too. I have strong memories of participating in cherye (ancestor rituals) as a kid, especially after my harabeoji (grandfather) passed away. These rituals comforted me when my halmeoni (grandma) passed a few years ago as well. My mom taught us to burn incense and offer food to our relatives who were gone. We would do this in the mornings on important holidays, and it made me feel closer to them.
As a child, I also spent my summers in a seaside beach town. Although I haven’t been there in a few years, I always pictured myself and my husband spending our summers on the beach and in the water. A few years after marriage, I always imagined that we would bring our children with us, too.
Do you smoke cigarettes?
Not anymore. Smoking messes with white matter in the brain.

In my first year of college, I tore a ligament in my knee. I had to complete six months of intense physical therapy afterward. It still bothers me sometimes, but I’m proud to say that I can do moderate exercise now, although it did impact my varsity volleyball career.
What accomplishments in your life are you most proud of that you would want to share in the pods?
When I was 22, I almost got married to someone I should never have been engaged to in the first place. Instead of going through with the marriage, I chose myself and my education. don’t think I would have ever pursued the career I wanted if I entered that marriage. I’m very proud to be in a career where I get to help people.
What is something you would be hesitant to share in the pods?
I might always hold a bit of a candle for my ex.
What is the most difficult situation you've had to overcome?

The woman who was like a second mother to me passed away unexpectedly from cancer when I was 16, and my actual mother completely retreated into herself when it happened. I lost my boyfriend—my second mother’s son—at the same time, so it felt like my whole world was ending. I was so young and so alone. It taught me so much about working to find the joys in life, and how to appreciate how beautiful things and people are when you have them.
Love Is Blind is an unorthodox way to find love. Why are you choosing to find love in this way and why now? Be specific.
It’s been six years since I’ve been in a serious relationship, and I feel scared, but ready. I always thought I would be married by now, but life has a funny way of doing things you never expect it to. I’ve spent too long running away from the fear of another relationship failing that I’ve failed to get into a relationship at all. In the past, I’ve been so scared to show my true self to people, and I think that the security of meeting someone in the pods will let me show all of myself to someone who matters in the way that actually matters.

Random activity from LIB Instagram in the off-season…new cast member?

Does anyone know who this Conrad Fisher guy is? I was stalking the Love is Blind social media accounts the other day and it looks like this guy is their only new follow since last season. I don't think they're anywhere near announcing the new cast, because they usually release the cast posters in January, so the timing feels weird. It would make sense if he was a producer or something, but his Instagram is basically empty.
He has sub-600 followers and three posts. The most recent one is from this year, and he's in a graduation cap. The other one is a grainy beach picture. There’s one from 10 years ago of him as a kid, hugging some blonde lady who looks like she could be his mom. He’s hot, but absolutely no social media presence. So, I looked through his tagged photos and found who I can only assume is his brother (@chefjeremiahfisher). Has anyone heard of him? He’s some type of micro-influencer chef from Boston. Most of his videos involve him shirtless under his apron, and he's ridiculously ripped. Maybe he’s going to be a contestant next season, and his brother is just being supportive?
Still weird that LIB would follow Conrad back and not his brother, though. Does anyone know what's going on with this?
u/divinityinspades: God, I hope they cast this guy. In a time when everyone is judging each other on social media, it would be refreshing to see people actually looking for love and not just likes. Also, I’m pretty sure he’s a doctor. When my cousin graduated from med school, all the doctors had green sleeves (I don’t know what else to call these) just like in his grad photo.

I don’t know if he ever graduated, NGL. u/kateisgreat90: Jeremiah Fisher definitely has a girlfriend, so no way he’s getting cast. His GF is @deniseintech on TikTok and I’m pretty sure she’s a genius. She runs one of those life business coaching pages but I swear to god it’s not a scam. She doesn’t sell courses or anything. Most of her posts are just about being a woman in a male-dominated field and coaching women on how to navigate the bullshit. One of her TikToks literally saved me when I was getting sexually harassed at work.

Conrad Fisher misdirect?
Some of you might remember a few months ago, I posted about the Love is Blind Instagram account following someone named Conrad Fisher on Instagram. The speculation got loud enough that his brother (@chefjeremiahfisher) clarified on Instagram Stories that he wasn't going to be a part of the cast this season, but Conrad’s public (but very dead) account hasn't posted anything since. I really thought he was going to be cast.
