Work Text:
Maxson- Big ass loud hummer, sporting a front barricade bumper, color of screaming yellow because he wants all the attention, lift kit because of course he has to have the biggest heft. Large cup of coffee, wide eyed honking loudly in traffic or running circles around anyone 'too slow' on the road. Doesn't know the words 'speed limit' and always drives far too close if the road is crowded. Music: Rap/heavy metal/R&B depending on his mood.
Danse- Tricked out Jeep. All the bells and whistles, spotless, always. This car is his baby. Big wheels that look worn from days of off roading but clean. Quiet behind the wheel, never speeds. Keeps a respectable distance but sometimes, when it's late and no one is looking he floors it down the highway, just for kicks. Stops for turtles in the road. Music: Country western, old school like Hank Williams Jr or Waylon Jennings. Sometimes something pop like if no one is around.
Valentine- Picture of Noir. Long sleek black Chrysler shiny wheels, mat paint. Cruising confidently along-side all the other updated models of modern times like he doesn't have a care in the world. Not often seen on the highway; he likes the small back roads a bit better and knows them all. Cool and collected, never road rages and will likely never be in an accident that he's at fault for. Cautious, almost to a fault at times. Music: Smooth Jazz
Piper- Small beetle bug, old, vintage, not the modern ones. Has patches of color, teal, but most of it is rusted out. Shell looks like shit but she keeps the motor going, clean as a whistle. Held together by duck-tape and a promise, the windows are manual crank and she's never on the high way. She knows the back roads and the roads between them. Usually finds her way, after she's been lost for a while. She'll tell you that she's just doing more research before she asks for directions. Drives like a bat outta hell but somehow is never caught by the cops. Music: 90's grunge.
Deacon- Has a different car every time you seen him. The only reason you would even know it's him is because ever car gets painted with a neon lantern. Sometimes he's on the highway, sometimes he's in the parking lot, sometimes he's being chased by the cops…sometimes he's in the cop car chasing someone. You never know where you'll see him on your journey and as soon as you spot him, he's gone again. Music: Am radio
Preston- Reliable pick-up truck. Probably has his friend's couch in the back. Always in the middle of helping someone move. He doesn’t care too much about the condition of his truck, so long as it keeps getting him around. He keeps up on what needs to be done for it. Mostly goes the speed limit as he's always got someone in the car with him that he cares about, but sometimes you see him flying down the road by passing traffic. First to pull over and help someone on the side of the road in need. Music: Western themes, usually instrumental
McCready- Modest little something, like a Civic or a Hatchback. Nothing that appears too flashy. The engine, however, is very beefed up. Can outrun anyone on the road, including Maxson. See him ducking and dodging through traffic but not dangerous, like he knows what he's doing. People don't even have a chance to honk before he's moved on to the next open spot. Doesn't speed, but makes it to his destination early, always. He's either seen making his way somewhere on the highway, or parked in a lot, waiting. Music: 90's- early 00's Techno
Hancock- One hand on the wheel and a bottle in the other. Pipe on the seat next to him. Doesn't matter what car he's in, it's always something he got from a friend. Gets a big ass grin when the cops pull siren on him. He likes the chase but in the end he knows the back roads too well and has too many safe houses to ever be caught. Always on his way to or from a party. Just getting into his car guarantees you an adventure. All signs, lights and lines are suggestions. Music: Whatever the high calls for, LOUD.
Sturges- Never can make out just what type of car he drives. It's pieces of several that somehow he's made work. Or maybe he's made work. He's never really behind the wheel. He'll be found in his garage under his car, always banging away on something. Music: doesn’t care much; whatever is on the shop radio
X6-88- Tessla. Everything has a button or auto pilot switch. He doesn't even drive, just tells it where to go. Watches everyone on the road as he moves, attempting to figure out what move they'll make next. Is actually rarely seen while in transit but if spotted, looks at you like he'll erase your memory if you stare too hard. Stops for no one. Music: None.
Cait- Monster truck, bright red. Littered with cans of red bull and bottles of vodka. Complete mess, you can hear her interior rattling with cans as she drives. 'Sorry my car's a mess ' is her motto whenever someone gets in. Passengers are rare as no one wants to be implicated by what she does when she drives. Texts while in motion, eyes never on the road. Laughs when she runs people off the road in front of her. Blazing down the highway. Music: Drop kick Murphy's
