Work Text:

Entrapta was usually very consistent in solving every problem that came her way. The joys of being a scientific genius. But rescuing Queen Angella from the limbo between dimensions was proving to be a challenge even for a scientist of her caliber. Fortunately, by complete accident, Entrapta had discovered the best people to help her tackle this incredibly complex predicament.

While using the reverse engineered First One's portal technology to attempt to create a gateway to the void where Angella was thought to be lost, she had in fact found a way to travel to alternate realities, completely different from her own. These realities likewise had their own Etheria and a similar history to Entrapta's own world and indeed, had Entrapta's of their very own. Thus, Entrapta had decided to recruit her alternate selves to assist her in finding a way to rescue the lost Queen Angella.

To Entrapta's surprise, the other Entrapta's were also trying to figure out solutions to the same problem. It seemed that Queen Angella sacrificing herself was a bit of a multiversal constant in other dimensions, an event so common to many realities that it became a fixed point in time and space. But Entrapta knew that if she and her counterparts put their heads together, they'd figure this out.

Currently, she and four of her counterparts were discussing the exact dimensional frequency a portal would need to operate at in order to reach a seemingly impossible destination as the void where Angella was lost. The four of them had travelled to Entrapta's universe, as maintaining a communication channel between dimensions had proved difficult to maintain thus far and Entrapta preferred to discuss these things in person.

To tell each other apart, the Entraptas had given themselves designations  based on their home dimension. Entrapta had reasoned that since the other Entrapta's came from similar universes to her own, her universe was a "prime" universe, one from which many other universes had diverged from at various points. Thus she had dubbed herself Entrapta Prime.

The first of the alternate Entrapta's was from the universe Entrapta had dubbed Etheria-2002 or 2k for short, due to the fact it seemed to be the furthest divergent reality from her own. She had pink hair instead of Entrapta's purple and a much darker skintone. She also wore a rather cutesy looking outfit with long purple gloves and a pink skirt, with a holographic visor over her eyes. She seemed to be the most excitable out of the three alternates.

The second Entrapta was from Etheria-85, a reality much closer to the main universe, who seemed to resemble Prime Entrapta the closest, though her purple hair was styled differently. She also wore a set of large goggles instead of a mask and seemed a bit more shy and soft-spoken. Nevertheless, she was gladly agreeing to help out.

And third was Entrapta from Etheria-616, and compared to the others, she seemed the most different, as she was actually a Magicat like Catra was. Her whole body was covered in purple-fur and often used her tail as a third-hair hand in addition to her own tendrils. Her personality seemed a lot like Catra's too, a bit more snarky and teasing, though as far as Entrapta knew, there was still a Catra in 616's reality.

Last but certainly not least was the Entrapta from Etheria-52. Like Entrapta-85, her universe also resembled the Prime timeline and she herself did more resemble Entrapta Prime, though her skin-tone was much lighter, her Purple hair was of a little darker shade and her hair was kept up in a single ponytail. She also didn't seem to have prehensile hair unlike the other Entrapta's, but she made up for that with a set of robotic tentacles that were attached to a harness.

"This is your portal?" 2002 wondered as she looked at the recently rebuilt machine. Entrapta had recovered what she could from Hordak's old sanctum in the Fright Zone ruins. "It's a lot smaller than I thought."

"Yours was bigger?" Entrapta Prime wondered.

"In my reality, Hordak built his portal outside of the Fright Zone, it was gigantic!" 2002 added.

52 flipped down her mask, which had a large central eyepiece that narrowed in on the various components of the portal arch. "Okay, I think I should be the one to be able to make the configurations. My tentacles can work faster than our hair... no offense."

"None taken!" Entrapta Prime chirped, as 52 set to work using her tentacles.

As Entrapta 52 continued modifying the portal, Entrapta Prime looked at 2002. "So what else went differently in your reality?" she asked, curiously.

"Oh! Well, for one thing, Scorpia's very different from the one in yours," 2002 explained. "She's all angry and moody all the time. Catra also can turn into a cat in my reality too!"

"Fascinating!" Entrapta chirped. "I couldn't help but notice your reality has a lot more advanced technology when I observed it in my scanners."

"Oh yes, we incorporated First One's tech into just about everything!" 2002 explained. "I doubt you'll find a tool or weapon in my world that doesn't have some sort of technological component."

"Ahem!" 616 cleared her throat. "I hate to interrupt such riveting conversation, but this is your project, you know, Entrapta Prime?"

"Oh right, sorry!" Entrapta chirped, rubbing the back of her head with one of her hair-hands. "I get distracted easily."

"To be honest, I think that's one of the few things we all have in common," 85 admitted. "Though I think for me, I sometimes don't get as much done as I want to."

"Hey, you're still the greatest genius in your world, that's gotta count for something," 616 reassured 85, patting her on the shoulder with her hair.

At that moment, 52 called over to her five other selves, flipping up her mask with her ponytail. "Okay, I think I've got the arch configured like your calculations said, Entrapta Priem."

"Great!" Entrapta Prime cheered. "Okay, get ready to fire it up!"

"Are you sure that's wise?" 85 cautioned. "I mean... I don't wanna doubt a fellow Entrapta, but these portal devices are rather risky."

"Not to worry, if we got the calculations right, we should be able to open the portal for a few seconds in a controlled burst, just to see if we can create a stable wormhole between dimensions," 52 explained.

"Plus, Entrapta Prime designed this thing," 616 pointed out. "And she's the genius who brought us all here. I trust her." She looked over at 2002, who was sat behind a nearby console ready to activate the portal. "Okay, 2k, fire her up!"

2002 nodded and activated her visor, pressing a few buttons before her. The portal began to whirr and spark with energy, power flowing through the dozens of cables it was connected to. At the center of the arch, a large sphere of energy came into being, the portal in its early stages. All the Entrapta's watched in awe, hoping their hard work would pay off... but unfortunately, it was not to be. Just a minute after the portal came online, the energy sphere exploded in a flash of light and the portal machine powered down with a low drone.

"Oh come on, it nearly worked!" 616 growled, her hair and tail standing on end. "So much for your tentacles working faster, 52. You clearly messed something up!"

"Hey, I was only following what Prime and 2k said when they made the calculations!" argued 52.  "It's not my fault it didn't work!"

"Don't pin this on me, I went over the math a dozen times!" 2k defended herself.

Before things got out of hand, Entrapta Prime grabbed 52, 2k and 616 with her hands, getting between the three of them. "Girls, girls, it's alright, lets not argue. If any of you are anything like me, you should know that failure is not the end of a project, it just presents us with more questions to solve! Life would be so boring without imperfection and mistake. Trial and error are the backbones of every scientific endeavour."

"Yeah, she's right," added 85. "So um let's just... take a break for now."

"I'm glad you agree, sister from another reality!" the polite voice of Kahdroh, the former Wrong Hordak said, as he and Hordak himself entered Entrapta's lab. The two of them were carrying a tray of tiny snacks each for the Entraptas, all of varying varieties. "We thought you five might be hungry, so we had the kitchen staff round up some snacks for you all! Do enjoy yourselves!"

"Yes, what my um... more eccentric brother said," Hordak added, slightly embarrassed. He was still happy that Entrapta was getting on with her alternate selves.

The other Entrapta's other than Prime stared at Hordak affectionately. They hadn't brought up the topic of Hordak yet with Entrapta Prime. 616, 2k and 52 all got up and walked around Hordak's form on their respective appendages, looking at im with genuine fascination. Hordak got a little flustered from the ammount of attention the three other purple-haired women were giving him.

"Ooooh he's cute!" 2k remarked. "Do you make a snort when you laugh? My Hordak does!"

"You got wings somewhere, beautiful?" 616 flirted. "Because my Hordak back home has wings that look like they're made of stars."

Hordak gulped. "No, ladies, I am afraid, I don't have either of them."

"A pity," 52 pouted.

Entrapta Prime hopped over to Hordak. "But what he lacks in wings or a snort, he makes up for in looking really great in a dress, don't you agree?! I don't think he's ever worn anything different since he got here."

"Oh true!" 616 agreed. "You rock that dress, hot stuff. You should see the dresses my Hordak walks around him. He looks killer in black and red."

"I'm um..." Hordak cleared his throat. "I'm sure he does."

"Ah, it is so good you have met your other selves, Miss Entrapta," Kadroh remarked. "Of course, it is a more common experience for a clone like myself, though it is fortunate you are able to tell each other apart better due to your differences in appearance. I sometimes struggle to tell my brothers apart... with the exception of Hordak, obviously."

616 meanwhile, was shooting a very seductive gaze at Hordak. She purred and her tail slipped under the former tyrant's chiseled jawline. "You know Hordak, if you don't mind, I wouldn't mind us getting to know each other. I think we'd have a lot to... discuss."

Entrapta Prime might have been oblivious to a lot of things, but she could see right through this. She leapt over to Hordak and jumped into his arms, grabbing his cheeks with her hair and kissing him hard. Hordak blushed bright red as Entrapta kissed him, but slowly kissed her back, much to the cheering and whooping of the other Entrapta's. Entrapta clung to Hordak tightly, powerfully kissing him.

When the kiss finally broken, Hordak was definitely confused. "W-What was that for?"

"To make sure these girls knew you belonged to one Entrapta only!" Entrapta squealed and giggled mischievously.

616 laughed in return. "Fair enough, Prime, he's all yours. Hey, Hordak, you and Kadroh wanna join us here?"

"We'd be delighted!" Kadroh declared happily. And so everyone sat down on the floor to enjoy the tiny snacks, Entrapta Prime knowing it was definitely a good idea to invite her alternate selves to her world.
