Team Anarchy, consisting of Twirps, Falconu, Arcn, DoomedCow and Sharpness. Now, this little team of five was formed by Twirps who opposes everything that Tai stands for. He doesn't agree with Tai wanting to be king, and he wants to make sure Tai fails so bad he would never try to take rule over the server again. But, today is not the day for that. Today, his team was just resting, enjoying the peace that temporarily sat over the server. It was nice not worrying about dying, worrying about his team and how they would get back up after dying. Today, they were sitting inside Sharp's "base". It was more of a stop-over area than a base.
The owner of said base was nowhere to be seen in the common area though. Sharpness was somewhere but, none of them knew where somewhere was. Twirps had tried to message the blonde earlier but he didn't receive a response. He just shrugged it off to Sharpness being somewhere in a field, beating up a new training dummy. He couldn't have been more wrong.
Sharpness hummed a soft tune as he heated up a pan over the makeshift stove he made, whilst securing his black apron. He saw that his whole team was on and he wanted to make something for them. As a thanks for helping him out of the trenches and sticking by his side even after he died multiple times and has lost them gear and other things.
Now, he wanted it to be a surprise so he's cooking in his beloved bunny's base. Now said bunny wasn't here today so he wouldn't be told off to get out of the kitchen. Although admittedly, his boyfriend was also a bad cook. It was annoying how they only made fun of him when Jude pulls the same shit out of his ass and calls it food!
"There's some salmon, eggs here. I could trade rabbit stew, but that's boring so I'll make it from scratch! How hard could it be? And maybe some dessert too! I can probably find some yogurt and berries." Sharpness muttered to himself. He began to rummage through the barrels for Jude's pans and cooking supplies.
He starts the cooking process by chucking about a quarter of butter into the pan. It looked more than a quarter but did it really matter? He was making a meal for his friends and he was gonna make it taste good and look good. Well, as best as he could.
He began to cut up the salmon, watching a tutorial on how to fillet it properly. It looked… okay. He tried to cleanly separate the skin from the flesh but, not everything went well. So, he just seasoned it and put it in the pan. It actually smelled good. So he decided to let the salmon cook and focus on making the rabbit stew next.
"Oh my Void. I don't have rabbits. Surely… Jude has some in here somewhere." He began to rummage through the barrels again and soom found the raw rabbit there. "Perfect!! Why… why does it smell like something is burning? OH MY FUCK– THE SALMON–" Sharpness hurriedly grabbed a water bucket and poured it over the pan. He looked into the pan and the salmon had definitely seen better days.
Sharpness seems defeated. He'd burnt the only salmon he had and now there was less of the very special meal he wanted to make for his friends. He sighs, taking a seat on one of the benches in the base. He could either serve the fish he burnt or go out to get some more and cook it all over again and risk not catching his teammates online and waste time making food no one was gonna eat.
No. He wasn't going to give up this easily. He was gonna make it work. Sharpness was determined to create something his friends would enjoy. He stood up, determination in his sage green eyes and left Jude's base.
It took him 15 minutes to get everything and possible back ups if anything went wrong. His team was still on so he had time! And he had requested they stayed on for longer under the excuse that he had plans he wanted to discuss with all of them present.
He started with the dessert, mixing an assortment of berries into yogurt, whipped cream and ice cream. He then stuck it inside a barrel he had filled with lots and lots of ice. Then he put his attention solely on the salmon. He seasoned it the best he could and made sure it was cooked all the way through. Even though it looked a little burnt on the edges.
Sharpness then moved onto making the rabbit stew. He fried the rabbit, chopped it up and chucked the pieces into the mushroom stew he was also cooking. Then he looked over at the carton of eggs. He could make them eggs. No one could mess up eggs. Just in case they didn't like the taste of the stuff he made.
In the end, he made dessert which to him tasted amazing. Then the slightly burnt salmon he had seasoned with salt, pepper and pickle juice, topped with pickles. The rabbit stew he made that smelled and tasted okay. And lastly, the eggs he never messed up.
Sharpness smiled and began to pack the food he made into lunch boxes. He felt good, he made something for his friends that tasted okay in his opinion. As an added bonus, he made sure to add some tuna and crackers as a snack and some juice and water too.
Sharpness slowly made his way to his base. It was a nice base that Flankee had made and helped build the inside of. Cow was there too, but Flankee did most of the building.
As he approached his giant head, he could still hear the voices of his friends. They were talking about stuff, like what they planned to do the next day and being hungry after three hours of sitting in his base doing nothing. Sharpness smiled, this was perfect. He was gonna feed his friends the food he made and they were gonna hopefully enjoy it and be really happy.
"Hi guys! Thanks for staying on a little longer than you planned!" he enters his base and all four of them stare, not at him but at the lunch boxes he's brought. "I made food! 'Cause you know, I wanted to like thank you guys for helping me and shit. I took a really long time trying to make it taste good so you better enjoy it okay? Okay! Eat up, I'm gonna go wash up." then, Sharpness leaves.
"So. Does anyone want to take the first bite?" Twirps asked, looking at his other teammates. They knew of the horrors that is Sharp's cooking.
"I'll bite the bullet, sure." Arcn spoke, opening his lunch box. "How bad can it be right? I mean– it looks good! He made salmon and rabbit stew and a dessert. And eggs, of course he made eggs too."
"Arcn, enough yapping. Tell us what it tastes like." Falconu said, poking the nether demon with his fork.
"Okay! Okay… geez." Arcn takes a bite of the salmon and immediately tastes the burnt parts and the pickle juice. "Oh… oh my Void. Oh fuck."
Twirps laughed, telling Arcn off for being over dramatic. Surely it wasn't that bad. Right? He takes a bite out of the salmon and grimaces. Oh the pickle taste was strong. It almost overpowered the burnt parts.
"The stew is actually really good." Cow spoke, downing the stew in one go. "It's really good. And the eggs too. You should try it."
"I guess I'll do the dessert then." Falconu mumbled. He takes his spoon and scoops up a piece of the berry situation in the lunchbox. "Oh.. oh Void. That is–"
"Hi guys! Did you like it?" Sharpness, man that's such bad timing. Sharpness looked aroumd the room with hopeful eyes. And his teammates, his friends, could see it. The way he scanned the room for validation that he did well.
"The uh– the–" Twirps stammered, he was a little nervous. He didn't know what to say. He thought the salmon was… well not the greatest. The berry situation… well it could have been better, and he wanted to tell that to Sharp. But not like this. Not when his friend seemed so hopeful. He'd feel guilty if he made Sharpness feel like he failed making them a meal.
"The stew was amazing Sharp. Thank you." Cow spoke. Oh thank the Void, Cow was here to save them yet again. All three of the silent men nodded and looked at Sharpness who was beaming with joy.
Sharpness jumped and made a very happy sound. He hugged Cow and began rambling about how nervous he was that it didn't taste good and that they didn't want to eat it at all. Cow, the kind hybrid reassured him that all was well.
"Yeah, Cow's right y'know? You did good Sharp. Really good, definitely better than your other… attempts." Falconu added, and Arcn nodded along, forcing himself to swallow the salmon.
"Maybe tone down the pickles next time." Sharpness simply giggled at that. He nodded and thanked them again.
Twirps smiled as he watched his little team bond over Sharp's surprisingly successful cooking. This was the team he chose and the team he would die for. Because they were worth every death and sacrifice. They would bring Tai down together and hopefully stick together.
"Alright, alright, that's enough for today. We have a long week ahead of us."
