A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Steve has his very own way of showing affection. He does small things; like giving ultra-specific gifts to his partners (which leaves them bamboozled as to how he knew exactly what they wanted or needed), secretly doing chores and errands for his partners (which results in them being confused because they swear they don’t remember doing those things), saying just the right things to cheer up his partners (they’re surprised by his wisdom and his ability to be serious), knowing when and how to comfort them with physical touch… and of course, always being nearby.
Cesare might never admit it, but he cares more than he lets on. He’d complain and fuss about you needing help with something, but he’d be there to help you anyway. He’d give you money so you could buy whatever caught your eye despite him saying what you wanted was stupid. He’s the type of guy to watch your favorite TV shows with you and claim that he’s bored, but never changing the channel because ‘there’s nothing else to watch’. He keeps his distance and keeps lying through his teeth, but you see right through him and know that he will come around eventually.
Munkustrap shows affection by sharing information, because knowledge is the most powerful tool of all. He informs and shares fun facts and trivia with his closest of kin. This includes gossip and rumors, so get your kettle ready for some tea. He also exhibits fondness by listening to whatever you have to say, remembering every detail, whether or not it includes learning new information.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Steve and Munkustrap were the bestest of friends before the banishment, and have rekindled their friendship the moment the banishment ended.
Steve and Cesare were slow to become friends after Caligari’s downfall because of their near year of rivalry, but then they just ‘clicked’ one day and now reminisce about the ‘good ol’ days’.
Cesare and Munkustrap are an odd pair. No one can tell if their eccentric theatrics of arguments about their music tastes are genuine or played for laughs.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
Despite his claimed hatred for physical touch, Cesare often finds himself sandwiched between the two warm cuddly marshmallows, and even though he scolds the two clowns for it, he wouldn’t change a thing.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
They’re too old to NOT settle down.
Steve does the cooking, Munk does the cleaning. Cesare is not allowed to do anything.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
A decade is a short time for beings that have lived for millions of years. But Steve and Munkustrap try to make the most of it before Cesare leaves the mortal world for good.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
They definitely would start a polyamorous marriage while on vacation to Vegas…or Tampa.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
From most gentle to least gentle; Steve, Munkustrap, Cesare.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
Steve absolutely loves hugs.
Cesare absolutely loathes hugs (or so he says).
Munkustrap is neutral to hugs.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Cesare mutters a sobby “I love you guys.” while being comforted after reality really sets in.
This is one week after becoming mortal.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
Polyamory is pretty common on the clown planet, so Steve and Munk get confused whenever Cesare acts all grumpy when they hang out with other old humans.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
There was never a kiss that wasn’t accompanied by a honk of the nose. It can either get really annoying or really funny.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
All three of them are the fun uncles to Penny’s kid.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Lazing around in their California King bed until their backs hurt.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
Watching different performances of Cats: The Musical.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
Steve leaves ambiguous breadcrumbs all the time.
Cesare spills the beans for full context once he deems it necessary.
Munk is giving out cookies at random intervals.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Steve is rarely angry.
Cesare will flip at every minor inconvenience.
Munk is a middle road.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
Steve has a bit of a messed up memory, there are things that he doesn’t remember at all and things that he remembers clear as day, but it all feels out of order.
Cesare has always had perfect memory, but lately he’s been forgetting a few things…
Munk has an okay memory. Keeps a diary and a bunch of notes just in case though.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
Watching the stars in a parking lot after eating pizza (the best food they ever ate).
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Steve is quite protective of Cesare when he senses danger. Munk is protective of both of them. Cesare is chilling.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts?)
Munkustrap would do extensive research on human customs and give Steve a whole lesson on it and ask what would be perfect for Cesare. Steve would find a way to include their crews.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Steve forgetting how fragile Cesare is now.
Cesare picking at his scars.
Munk overestimating humans.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
Steve and Cesare are oblivious to their appearance.
Munk very much cares about his and his partners’ appearance. There’s always a fashion show before everyone goes out. Steve and Cesare play along.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Steve and Cesare definitely would because of their history. Munk has felt incomplete during Steve’s banishment.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Munkustrap would be into Dungeons and Dragons.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
Water.
Cesare hates water because his corpse was thrown into the sea.
Steve and Munk hate water in a cat way.
Z = Zzz (What are their sleep habits?)
Cesare sleeps like a vampire. Steve and Munk curl in on each other like cats.
