Chapter Text
The morning over the best school for heroics aka UA signaled the start of a grueling day for Class 1-A. Inside of the classroom reigns the usual chaos, Bakugo screaming bloody murder while Kirishima attempted to calm him down. Midoriya was muttering to Ochako about an All Might silver figure; in the back, Mina and Hakugure were chatting excitedly about some show. The usual chaos of this class.
“Everyone! Please take your seats and cease all chatter!” Iida shouted, his hand chopping the air with violet precision.
“Man, give it a rest, Iida” Kaminari groaned, slumping his body over his desk. He looked like he hadn’t slept last night. “My brain is way to fried from math homework. If I still must look at another letter in math before noon, im going to die.” He sighed dramatically.
Jirou gave him a look; “If you didn’t spend your evenings playing video games, you would understand, idiot!”.
Yaoyorozu nodded in agreement with her friend, though she was busy organizing her perfectly color-coded notes notebooks.
At the back of the room where the screaming finally stopped, Bakugo had his shoes propped up on his own desk, his faced carved into a permanent scowl “Shut up, you extras. Your all too loud.”
The class looked at him in utter disbelief, he was just screaming almost two minutes ago. They of course didn’t fail to express their disbelief.
“You were just yelling!”
“Theres no way you’re this arrogant!”
“SERIOUSLY?”
It went on for a couple of minutes while Bakugo yelled right back.
“BRING IT ON EXTRAS!”
“Bakugo! Desk etiquette!” Iida reprimanded, to which Bakugo only responded with a small, threating explosion from the palm of his hand.
The heavy classroom door slid open with a sharp clack. The class went silent instantly. Their homeroom teacher, Shouta Aizawa stepped in, looking as through he had crawled out of a storm drain which as usual, his normal look. His yellow sleeping bag was tucked firmly under his arm, and his capture scarf hung around his neck like a tired snake.
“Settle down” he rasped out, voice low and tired. Walking up to the podium, he dropped a few folders; maybe his lesson plans for the day.
“I have an announcement.”
The class perked up immediately. What could it be? A special guest? A hero?
“Between the recent move into your dorms and the accelerated training schedule, the faculty has reached a conclusion.” Aizawa started.
“The hero course teachers are being stretched too thin.” He finished off with a tired sigh.
“Are we getting a guest instructor?” Midoriya asked, his eyes widening as he scrambled to pull out his notebook.
“Maybe a specialist in urban rescue or another underground hero like you?”
“SHUT UP, DEKU!!”
“No,” Aizawa sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
“This isn’t about combat training. This is about you kids. Nezu has authorized a teacher assistant- a TA, to handle academic and student support.” He explained looking over his students who were shocked. A TA? They haven’t heard of that in UA before.
“Since both your class and 1-B are following the same curriculum, this teacher assistant will switch between the two classes weekly. One week here, one week with Vlad King.” He finally finished off.
A ripple of excitement broke out. A TA? What were they like?
Aizawa spoke up again “Try to act like humans for once,” then gesturing to the door. “Come in.”
The door slid open with a soft thud.
The collective intake of breath from everyone was audible especially from one Shoto Todoroki.
A beautiful young yet small woman stepped into the now quiet room. By any objective standard, she was most definitely high on the scale. She wore a high waisted black pencil skirt that fell just past her knees and a soft cream-colored turtleneck sweater.
It was professional but modest, yet there was no hiding her figure-her chest was notably well endowed, a clear fact that made most of the boys which Kaminari jaw dropped and Mineta’s eyes practically pop out of his skull.
Her white hair, flecked with distinct red strands, was pulled back into a neat ponytail. And her red rimmed glasses sat nicely on her face.
Mineta was vibrating so hard that his chair was rattling against the floor. Kaminari looked like he was going to short circuit without even using his quirk.
The silence lasted about three seconds before it was broken.
“Fuyumi-nee?”
Shoto Todoroki was now standing, chair fallen on the floor, but he couldn’t care less. This was a kid who never shows that much emotion, a blank face all the time yet his face was currently a mask of pure utter disbelief.
“Wait, as in…older sister?!” Mina shrieked, pointing a finger at him from across the classroom. Their other fellow classmates just stared at Todoroki in shock.
“Todoroki, you traitor!” Mineta’s voice somehow was able to pitch a sound that could break glass. “You never told us your sister is a total goddess! You bastard, how can you keep this from us?!”
“Silence.” Aizawa’s hair floated above his head slightly and at once, his class immediately went silent while Shoto sat back down quietly staring at his sister new beautiful teacher assistant for the heroics course classes.
He then turned to Fuyumi and gave a weary nod. “The floor is yours.”
She didn’t look that flustered at by the outburst from the class, but if you look closer, there is a slight red tinge to her cheeks.
She offered a bow. When she straightened up, she had a warm, maternal smile that lit up the room.
“Good morning, everyone,” she said, her voice warm and cheery. “It’s a pleasure to meet you all! As Shoto-Kun mentioned, I am his big sister. I’ve spent a couple of months as an elementary school teacher, But Nezu was kind enough to hire me for this position to support you kids with anything academic and mental welfare!” she exclaimed.
She turned over to Shoto, her eyes softened with a bit of big sister mischief. “And no. I will not be showing much favouritism even though you are my baby brother. I will be treating you the same.” She winked.
Shoto sunk into his chair cheeks a bit red. He’s going to have to talk to Fuyumi later, at lunch or after class. Why is she here? And why didn’t she tell him?
“Todoroki-san, I’m going to take a nap so you can deal with them for a bit.” Aizawa said, while bundling up in his corner in his yellow sleeping bag ready to sleep. In fact, he fell asleep right then and there. Huh, he must be tired.
“Now, I have to admit” Fuyumi said, picking up the seating chart Aizawa had just passed onto her. “I’m still learning all of your names, so please bear with me...let’s see...” she started, adjusting her glasses, peering at the paper.
“Midoriya-kun?”
“H-here!” The green haired boy squeaked, sitting up so straight his spine looked like it might snap.
“And..Iida-kun? You’re the class rep, right?” She smiled softly.
“PRESENT AND READY TO ASSIST, TODOROKI-Sensei!” Iida shouted, standing up and bowing.
Yaoyorozu sighed, “I’m the vice representative. I will also help you if you need assistance.”
Fuyumi giggled—a light airy sound that made half the class melt. “Thank you, Iida-kun and Yaoyorozu-chan. I’ll be relying on you to help me settle in. My role here is to make sure you kids don’t burn out. I’ll be tutoring those who need help on standard academics.” She eyed
Kaminari and a few others who she’s read their grades already and internally sighed at it.
“If the pressure gets to much, or if you need someone to talk to who isn’t a hero, mine and Hound Dog’s door in always open.” She finished off before starting up
“Anyway, Bakugo-kun?”
“Here.”
“Ashido?”
“HI!”
She continued listing off names from her sheet while the students answered to hearing their names.
Throughout the morning, Fuyumi acted perfectly and normal. She moved from desk to desk, appearing at any student’s side the moment they seemed confused by the content.
She was kind, patient and seemingly fragile—the perfect contrast from how their other teachers were.
As the bell rang for the end of homeroom, Aizawa who had finally awoke from his nap, stood up. “Todoroki-san will be in the faculty room for the rest of the morning. she’ll be back for your afternoon studies. Don’t harass her.” He said before leaving the room.
As the students began to pack their bags, a group began to swarm around Fuyumi.
“Todoroki-sensei! Is true your Todoroki-kun’s sister?” Ashido asked, leaning in closer than expected.
“Are ya stupid or something? She JUST said that.” Sero shot out.
She waved him off.
“What is your quirk?” Kirishima added, flashing a toothy grin.
Fuyumi laughed, raising her hands to calm them down from their assault of questions.
“One at a time! And yes! Shoto is my baby brother. As for my quirk, it’s my mom’s, I have a frost quirk—nothing impressive.” She confirmed, just as Midoriya wrote it down in his notebook.
Suddenly, Shoto walked up to her and gave her a look that said everything.
We need to talk. Now.
She packed up her things quickly while answering questions from the class.
She left the room with shoto ignoring the looks from the class.
Once in the hallway away from everyone, he spoke “What are you doing here?”
She sighed.
