No One Touches Her

Summary:

Childhood best friends from two completely different worlds, Lena Luthor and Kara Danvers were never supposed to stay this close.

Lena grew up learning how to survive quietly. Kara was raised to rule one of the most feared mafia families in the city.

But no matter how dangerous Kara’s world became, she always had a soft spot for Lena.

So when Kara realizes Lena’s relationship is far more toxic than anyone knew, old feelings she buried for years begin to surface — along with a protective side of her capable of terrifying even the most dangerous men in the city.

Caught between fear, loyalty, and a love neither of them ever truly let go of, Lena is forced to decide whether she’s ready to trust someone with her heart again… especially someone as powerful and possessive as Kara Danvers.

In a world built on power, violence, and loyalty, one thing becomes dangerously clear:

Nobody touches Lena Luthor and walks away from Kara unpunished.

Chapter Text

Lena Luthor and Kara Danvers grew up on opposite sides of the city.

Lena learned early how to count coins before spending them.
Kara learned early that people moved out of the way when they heard the Danvers name.

Because the Danvers weren’t just rich.

They were the mafia.

And Kara… was the future heir.

Even so, somehow impossible, they always ended up beside each other.

*

As children, Kara would show up on Lena’s quiet street wearing shoes far too expensive for the neighborhood while security guards tried to keep up from a distance.

And Lena, small and serious, would say:

“You shouldn’t be here.”

Kara would sit beside her anyway.

“But I want to be.”

For Kara, it had always been that simple.

Lena was home.

Even before Kara understood what that meant.

*

As they grew older, the world became more complicated.

Kara became taller.
Stronger.
More dangerous.

People lowered their heads when she walked by.

Especially after Alex Danvers officially started working beside her.

The Danvers sisters were practically untouchable.

But Lena was never afraid of Kara.

Not when she started wearing dark tailored suits.
Not when power settled naturally onto her shoulders.
Not when dangerous men went silent the moment she entered a room.

Because to Lena…

Kara was still the girl who stole candy for her when they were fifteen.

*

And maybe that was why it hurt Kara so much to watch Lena enter that relationship.

The boyfriend seemed charming at first.

Polite.
Confident.
Convincing.

But Kara never liked him.

Never.

Not just because she was jealous.

Though she absolutely was.

But because every time Lena smiled around him… the smile looked smaller.

Still, Kara respected it.

Because Lena loved him.

And Kara loved Lena enough not to destroy something just because it hurt to watch.

Until the day everything ended.

*

Kara had gone to pick Lena up after a party.

She was late.
Annoyed.
Tired.

But the second she stepped into the apartment…

the entire world changed.

Lena was curled near the kitchen.
Eyes glossy.
Breathing unevenly.

And he was yelling.

Kara didn’t need to see anything else.

Her silence was worse than an explosion.

“Get away from her.”

Her voice came out low.

Deadly calm.

The man turned.

Tried to laugh.

“This is none of your business.”

Kara stepped forward.

And in that instant it became impossible to ignore who she was.

Tall.
Strong.
Dangerous.

Heir to the most feared family in the city.

“It is now.”

Heavy silence.

Lena lifted her eyes toward Kara.

And Kara nearly lost control when she noticed the bruises on her face.

Something inside her went completely cold.

She walked to Lena first.

Always Lena first.

She crouched carefully in front of her.

“Can you stand?” she asked softly.

Lena nodded weakly.

Kara took her hand with unbelievable care.

Like she was holding something priceless.

Then she looked back at the man.

And there was contained violence in her eyes.

“It’s over.”

*

Lena broke up with him that same night.

Crying.
Shaking.
Broken.

And Kara stayed beside her through every second of it.

Not pushing.
Not deciding for her.

Just present.

Always present.

*

Two days later, Kara decided to “talk” to the ex.

Alex almost laughed when she heard that.

“You gonna kill him?”

Kara adjusted her watch.

“Not yet.”

*

The meeting happened in one of the Danvers family warehouses.

Huge mistake for him to show up.

When he arrived, Kara was already there.

Sitting calmly in a chair.

Alex leaning near the door.
Other men scattered silently around the room.

The ex tried to keep his posture.

Failed quickly.

“You trying to intimidate me?”

Kara tilted her head slightly.

“No.”

Pause.

“If I were trying to intimidate you, this would be much worse.”

Silence.

He swallowed hard.

“Lena exaggerated.”

Alex let out a short laugh somewhere behind Kara.

Kara didn’t laugh.

Not even a little.

She stood slowly.

And now she looked enormous.

“You touched her.”

Her voice stayed low.

Controlled.

Far more terrifying that way.

The man tried to recover his arrogance.

“And what are you gonna do?”

Kara stepped close enough to crush him with presence alone.

“You are never looking at Lena again.”

Absolute silence.

“Never speaking to her.
Never following her.
Never showing up near her again.”

Pause.

Kara tilted her head slightly.

“Because I promise you… if you do…”

A small smile appeared.

Cold.

“You’re gonna learn why people are afraid of concrete shoes.”

The man turned pale.

Because he immediately understood she was not joking.

Alex crossed her arms behind her, almost amused.

“My sister rarely repeats threats,” she commented.

Kara kept staring at him.

“Disappear.”

And he did.

*

When Kara came back home, Lena was awake on the couch.

Wrapped in a blanket.

Looking far too small inside all that silence.

The second she saw Kara, she asked:

“Did you do something crazy?”

Kara removed her coat slowly.

“No.”

Pause.

“Just had a motivational conversation.”

Lena almost smiled.

Almost.

But her eyes still carried pain.

Kara sat beside her carefully.

“You didn’t have to solve this for me,” Lena whispered.

Kara turned toward her immediately.

“I know.”

Silence.

Then quieter:

“But I needed to make sure nobody ever touched you again.”

Lena stared at her for a long moment.

And finally asked:

“Why do you always look at me like I’m the most important thing in the world?”

Kara froze.

Alex, walking through the hallway, immediately turned around.

“Nope. Not interrupting this.”

Silence.

Kara took a deep breath.

“Because you are.”

Lena blinked slowly.

Kara continued:

“I’ve loved you since I was too young to understand what that meant.”

Pause.

“And seeing you hurt like that nearly destroyed me.”

Lena started crying immediately.

Not loudly.

Just tired.

Kara panicked instantly.

“Hey, hey, did I say something wrong—”

But Lena grabbed her shirt.

And kissed her.

Soft.
Emotional.
Far too old to feel new.

When they pulled apart, Kara still looked stunned.

“You… kissed me.”

Lena laughed through tears.

“You threatened to bury my ex in concrete.”

“That does not answer my observation.”

Lena rested her forehead against Kara’s.

“I love you too.”

And in that moment, Kara swore the world could collapse before she ever allowed Lena to suffer like that again.

*

The following months changed everything.

Lena stayed gentle.

But inside the Danvers mafia, nobody dared disrespect her anymore.

Because Kara wouldn’t allow it.

And because Lena earned her place naturally.

Intelligent.
Elegant.
Calm.

People listened when she spoke.

And soon it became obvious:

There was only one person above Lena inside that organization.

Kara.

And Kara treated that fact like a personal honor.

*

Their wedding was absurdly mafia.

Luxurious.
Extravagant.
Filled with armed security placed discreetly around the venue.

Alex cried at the altar and blamed allergies.

Kara showed up in a perfectly tailored black suit, looking at Lena like she had waited her entire life for that moment.

And Lena…

Lena looked safe.

Finally safe.

When the vows began, Kara held her hands carefully.

Like she always did.

“I spent my entire life protecting territories, businesses, and people,” Kara said softly.

Pause.

“But you were the only thing I ever protected because I loved you… not because I had to.”

Lena cried instantly.

Kara smiled softly.

“And you are my home, Lena.”

When Lena answered, her voice trembled.

“I spent years believing love had to hurt to be real.”

She looked directly at Kara.

“And then you came into my life and showed me that love could also feel safe.”

Emotional silence filled the room.

Alex was very obviously crying again.

And when they finally kissed…

it didn’t feel like just a wedding.

It felt like the end of a war Lena had carried inside herself for years.

And the beginning of a life where nobody would ever make her feel small again.
