Work Text:
It was a year since Collin and Keenie were stuck in hell. For Keenie, she changed as if fate had this planned for her. She became a demon herself, while Collin remained pure. Ever since her transformation, Cletus stormed off and they never saw him again since. but she made the best of her situation.
Collin - “Y-You know for a place like this, it’s not really that bad. I mean some of the people are actually nice.”
Keenie smirks as she looks upon the city skyline from their apartment balcony. She never thought she would be down here in Hell. Let alone becoming a demon herself but it actually worked out in the end. Never realized that a place like Hell became a true home to her and Collin.
Keenie - *smiles* "Yeah I agreed Collin. But I’ll admit, I feel like I’m stuck in a rut lately."
Collin - “What do you mean?”
Keenie - “I just feel so bored lately. It’s like I do the same thing everyday. I want to do something different. But I don’t know what to do.”
Collin - “Maybe you should relax. Remember what Abel use to say: Too much stress is bad for your tummy.”
Keenie chuckled at this as she and Collin went to sit on the couch to watch some TV. She stretched out her tail as she scrolled her phone. Keenie even stretched her wings as the tv played. Both Collin and Keenie were glad that Hell was able to broadcast shows from heaven and Earth as well. Suddenly an ad for the Wrath ring played:
Wally - “Howdy I say Howdy! This Wacky Wally Wackford saying are you tired of doing the same old shit everyday? In the boring city of Hell? Well come I say come down to the Wrath Ring! Where you can do lots of neat stuff! Like riding horses, shooting some random weirdos and square I say square dancing! So come down here and embrace your inner wrath! There’s no refund allowed and I’m not responsible for whatever shit happens to you.”
Seeing the commercial interested Keenie and she gets an idea:
Keenie - *to Collin* “Hm, say bro, what do you think about taking a vacation? Move out of the city for a week? It’ll be like the time we were in Texas to help that cowboy and his horse from being stuck in that sandpit.
Collin - *lights up* “”Oh yes! I remember when we also saw those adorable horses! And the weather was so beautiful. Then again, the weather is always beautiful at a place like that.”
Keenie - “Oh yeah I remember that time. I really loved the nature there.*slightly worried* But I just hope that there’s no volcanic tornados when we get there.”
Collin - *confused* “Volcanic Tornados?”
Keenie - “It’s a known weather in the Wrath ring. It's so strong that it can take out two houses and two farms.”
Collin - *freaked out a bit* “That sounds p-pretty scary.”
Keenie “Yeah but don’t worry. I’m sure it won’t happen. Are you still up to go down to cowboy town? *snickers* I could use a week outside the city. As much as I like it in Pentagram City, there can be too much damn chaos here you know?”
Collin - “Yeah. I know what you mean. Sometimes I get freaked out by the street fighting out here.”
Keenie - “So what do you say Collin? You wanna go?”
Collin - *excited* “Yeah! We should go Cowgirl!”
Collin and Keenie start to get ready for their vacation by packing their suitcase. Also want to fit in the Wrath Ring more, Collin decided to dress up as a cowboy. Then he saw Keenie dressed as a cow girl as well.
Collin - *amazed* “ Wow! You look so cool!”
Keenie - *chuckles* "Thanks. You look like my little flock.'
Collin - *giggled* “Thank you.”

When they got to the elevator, luckily it wasn’t full of so many people, they pressed the button to go to The Wrath Ring. The noise was so loud that it knocked them to the ground. After a few mintues, The ding of the elevator still rang in their ears as they entered the sand covered Wrath Ring. They saw there were some volcanos, farms, animals, cactus, etc.
Collin - *look down on the ground* “Wow! Look at the sand. Reminds me of the beach.”
Keenie - “It looks really nice though like in TV. Let’s see if there’s any place we can get something to drink.
Keenie looked around a bit as she saw a little town. She decides it was the perfect place for her and Collin could go get a drink as they go towards the saloon.
Collin - “I wonder if they have chocolate milk here. Or some cocoa.”
Keenie - *unsure* “I doubt it. Since I can tell, you gotta be tough in a place like this.”
Then they went to the front of the saloons and entered inside. Inside, they saw some cowboy imps and hellhounds either talking, drinking, playing pool, or even passed out drunk. Keenie and Collin paid no mind to it and just ignored it. Then Keenie signals the bartender and a burly Imp bartender with a mustache comes by.
Keenie - "I want a glass of milk for my brother and I'll take some red wine".
The bartender let out a grunt as he got to work. As that happens, Collin was eating the bar nuts and Keenie was just looking around the saloon. Then she takes notice of a handsome imp across the bar talking to some guys. Keenie felt her heart let out a flutter when she saw him and found it a bit strange since she never had this feeling about anybody before. Then their drinks came and Collin took a sip of his milk and noticed the drink Keenie got.
Collin - “Keenie I didn’t know you drink wine. Isn’t that a devil blood drink? *noticed Keenie not paying attention* Keenie? KeeKee?”
Collin noticed Keenie flying toward the guy. She felt nervous and threw up at the same time.
Otis - “And then his doctors called other doctors cause he’s never seen burns on top of existing burns.”
Keenie - *shyly* “Umm excuse me?”
Otis turns around and sees her.
Otis - *smiles* “Well, howdy miss. I never saw you around these parts, new to the Wrath Ring and the town of Dreading?”
Keenie - *nervously* “O-Oh yes! M-My name is Meenie I-I mean Keenie.”
Otis - *chuckles* “My name Otis.”
Keenie - “Oh that’s a really cool name.”
Otis - “Heh. Well Keenie,What brings a lass like you to the wrath ring? City life is too busy?”
Keenie - *blushes* “Oh. W-well you know how city life can be? Super busy and stuff.”
Otis - “Actually no I don’t. I have always been down in Wrath, ever since I was a wee impling, what about you darling?”
Keenie - “Oh. Um, I lived in the Pride Ring, in the city.”
Otis - “Yeah. I’m not too big on living in the city. But I can understand you wanting to get away from there.”
As Keenie and Otis were chatting, Collin noticed how they were talking. Knowing how not all demons in Hell were friendly, Collin was starting to get worried.
Collin - “Why is Keenie talking to that guy?”
Collin began to fly over to them and tried to be brave about it.
Collin - *shyly* “Umm excuse me?”
Otis and Keenie noticed Collin was behind them.
Otis - *teasingly* “Ah cute. You brought a plushie with ya?”
Keenie - *nervously laughs* “Oh no this is my friend Collin.”
Collin - *nervously* “Hi there.”
Otis - *surprised* “Wow. We don't get Cherubs down in these parts often, Lassie.”
Collin - *nervously chuckles* “W-Well it’s a long funny story. Well not that funny but you know.”
Otis - “Oh really? Humor me.”
Keenie - *uncomfortable* “Uhh maybe it’s best we leave that story for later.”
Otis *shrugs* “I don't mind long stories.”
Collin - *shyly* “Well umm…We used to belong in Heaven before getting kicked out.”
Otis - *confused* “We?”
Keenie - *rubs her head* “Well you see, “I am, well WAS a cherub too. Not only Collin and I were kicked out, but I got turned into a demon for some strange reason. However, after living here for some time I realize that for a place like Hell it’s not really bad.”
Collin - “And beside the scary stuff, Hell is actually given more freedom than Heaven did.”
Otis - *nods* “”Oh yeah. I know it’s paradise from another perspective. I mean in a place like Hell, you got your freaks, weirdos, and a bunch of shit. Heaven is propbably full of sunshine and lollipops with unicorns.
Collin - “Actually it does have that.”
Otis - “No surprise there. But glad you gave this place a chance. I mean, I don’t think I can last a minute in a place like Heaven since it looks too weak. But hey, one man’s nightmare another man’s dream came true. Come on, I’ll show you around the place.”
Kennie - “Oh! Sounds great!”
Keenie and Collin left with Otis not realizing a certain Imp hybrid was watching them the whole time and looked disgusted at Otis for interacting with creatures of heaven. But they also had the nerves to be in his ring. He is going to teach them a lesson they will never forget.

As Otis was showing Keenie and Collin around the Wrath Ring, Keenie couldn’t help but keep on swooning over him. Keenie never felt like this toward a demon but then again, she knows it’s nothing to be ashamed of since she remembers in Heaven, she was taught to follow her heart when it comes to love. But feeling like she got to impress him somehow to show that she is tough. That’s when Keenie came up with an idea.
Keenie - “So umm…Do you know how to ride horses?”
Otis - *laughed* “Yep. I learned to ride ponies before I could even walk.”
Keenie - “You think you can teach me and Collin how to ride one?”
Otis - *smiles* “Sure. Anything for a pretty lady like you.”
Keenie blushed at that comment. Then Collin said:
Collin - “Is it going to be hard to ride a horse?”
Otis - *scoff* “Oh please. I can even teach a toddler to ride a horse.”
Keenie giggled at this and Otis took them to his ranch. Keenie and Collin were amazed at all the animals he has and how big his land is. Then Otis took them to the horse shed and brought out a red-fire horse. Collin eyes widen in shock as he sees the demonic horse.
Collin - *surprised* “W-Whoa! These h-horses are on fire!”
Otis - “Oh yeah. That's how the horses are in Hell. *smirks* just wait till you see the pigs.”
Keenie - “Ooh are they super cute?”
Otis “Oh their piglets are cute though. Some stay like that especially if they are born runts which we give away to pet shops. But when the regular pigs get older, they become tough sons of bitches, which makes for a good rodeo though.”
Collin - “Rodeo? Aren’t they super dangerous?”
Otis - *dismissive* “Oh please Little Dude here in Wrath, danger is our way of life. While weapons are fine, we prefer to use our bare hands "nothing's more satisfying than bruised knuckles and wiping the blood from your blood fighting is in our DNA."
Collin - *nervous* “Umm can’t we do something gentler like hugs? Or pet some animals?”
Otis - *teasingly* “Well you're in the wrong ring then. That kind of thing is in the Sloth rings pipsqueak.”
Keenie - *assuring* “Well I think we can handle a few animals right Collie?”
Collin - *relaxing a bit* “Well, I’ve handled the holy stables this shouldn’t be any different.right?”
Otis - *chuckles* “Little man, you clearly never rode a hellhorse. But I will let the lady go first.”
Keenie - *a little worried* “I won’t get burned will I?”
Otis - *shakes his head* “Nah. These gals love company and they don’t burn anybody as long as they trust them and don’t feel threatened.”
Keenie nodded and tried to get on the horse but was having trouble due to her height. Keenie felt her face turn red when Otis helped Keenie get on the Hell Horse by grabbing her by the hips and placing her on the saddle.
Keenie - *amazed* “Wow! I don’t even feel it’s fire.”
Otis - “Looks like she trusts ya.”
Unknowingly to them, Striker was watching them behind a tree and looked disgusted at all three of them. Especially Otis.
Striker - *disgusted* “Can’t believe that wannabe asshole being friends with those cloud babies. Somebody should teach these bastards a lesson.”
Striker decided to keep hiding and wait for the right moment to attack. Meanwhile, Keenie was slowly getting the hang of riding a Hell Horse. She also realizes despite their appearance, the Hell Horses are pretty cute. Otis is also shown to be a good teacher as well.
Otis - “Now go with the flow don’t force it, the horses can be stubborn and would want to attack.”
Collin - *worried* “Please be careful Keenie.”
Keenie - *assuring* “Please worry too much. *to the horse* Hi ho Silver!”
Otis - *chuckles* “The name for the horse is actually Fireball and she’s a sweetheart. *heard his phone ringing* Hold on, I gotta take this.”
Collin - “Don't worry, I’ll watch them.”
As Otis took the call and walked back to his house, Keenie kept riding the horse as Collin watched over for Keenie’s safety. All of a sudden, she got tied up in rope and was pulled away by Striker.
Collin - *horrified* “Keenie!”
Keenie - *confused* “THE HELL?!”
Striker - *darkly* “You think you can show up here and act like you belong here?”
Keenie - *scared* “B-But I don’t even know you!”
Striker - “The name is Striker. That’s all you need to know. You think you can show up here and act like you belong here?”
Keenie * *scared* “But I’m just on vacation I-”
Striker - *shouting* “SHUT IT! What I mean is disgusting cloud babies like you think you can show up here from your magic wonderland? Acting like you're holier than thou and have no qualm killing demons?”
Keenie - *whimpers* “Don’t hurt me please!”
Striker - “Oh, I think I will do more than that-”
Collin saw that Striker was about to take out his gun and Collin felt a sense of bravery rushing in his blood.
Collin - *bravely* “Hey! Leave her alone!”
Collin flew toward Striker and tackled him to the ground. But Striker grabbed Collin by the throat and began to punch his face. Then Striker felt a rock hit his head and he turned around and saw it was Keenie who did it despite being tied up.
Keenie - “You leave my Collin alone!”
Keenie began to kick more rocks at Striker. Striker then took out his gun and began to shoot but Keenie dodged them. Collin managed to fly and grabbed Keenie hopefully, to get away from the bullets and Striker. However, a bullet managed to grazed Collin’s wing and he felt on the ground. Both Keenie and Collin were moaning in pain as Striker slowly walked up to them and has two guns in his hands.
Striker - “Like I always say, good things must come to and end. I’m sure you both would make great trophies.”
Keenie and Collin whimper in fear and just when Striker was about to shoot them, he got shot in his arm and it caused him to drop his gun and hold his arm in pain. He turned around and saw it was Otis who shot him.
Keenie and Collin - “OTIS!”
Striker - *smirks* Oh well if it is my old friend Otis.”
Otis - *serious* “You know fully well your not my friend Striker. Especially after what you did.”
Striker - *offended* “Hey, you know that was a job that paid really well.”
Collin - *scared* “W-What does he mean?”
Otis - “It’s nothing. Don't worry about it.”
Striker - “No no. Why not tell them how you actually hated angelic beings and Heaven.”
Collin and Keenie started at Otis in shock. Keenie had tears in her eyes but she shouted:
Keenie - “No! You're lying! Otis cares about us.”
Striker - *smug* “Oh really? He would always brag that he hopes someday if a Heaven creature came to Hell, he would kill them right on the spot. But now seeing that he a coward how you now resort to babysitting these little weaklings.”
Otis - “Oh you calling me a coward? I’m not the one who decided to work for a royal demon and tried to kill a Prince.”
Striker - *growls* “It could have worked if some rodeo clown and his posse didn’t get in my way. Beside, that motherfucking Prince deserve death along the other Royal Fucks!”
Otis - “And this why I no longer consider you a friend.”
Striker - *smug* “Now I can consider you my latest kill!”
Striker began to shoot but Otis quickly dodged the bullets and began to shoot at Striker. Striker dodged and threw a knife at Otis. It grazed his legs but he didn’t let the pain bother him. Otis grabbed his own knife and ran to stab Striker but Striker moved back and punch Otis in the face. Otis kicked Striker to the ground and Striker grabbed a handful of sand and threw it in Otis’s eyes blinding him. As Otis tried to get the sand out of his eyes, Striker took this opportunity and prepare to shoot him with his angelic gun. But out of no where, Striker heard a:
“NOO!!”
To his surprise, Keenie tackled Striker on the ground and began to punch him. But Striker grabbed Keenie by the throat and had his gun on her head.
Striker - *darkly* “You will make a nice taxidermy for my hideout.”
Just when Striker was about to the pull the trigger, Striker shouted in pain when he felt his arm being shot and another bullet that grazed his shoulder. He turned and saw it was Otis and Collin had done it.
Striker - *growls* “Tell me Otis, why would you betray your own kind for this angelic filth?”
Otis - *firm but serious* “Because while a strong man looks after himself, a stronger man looks out for others. Only a coward prays on those weaker than himself. You’re no man Striker. You’re just garbage. As far as I'm concerned, Keenie and Collin, they're proof to me that they are true hellions. But I can't say the same for you. Now Cowboy, I’m giving ya a chance to walk away or start an all lead diet. It’s your call.”
Striker growls but knew it wasn’t worth it as he leaves. That’s when Keenie quickly got up and hugged both Otis and Collin tightly.
Keenie - *crying* “Oh! I thought I was going to lose you both! Don’t ever scare me like that again.”
Collin - “Don’t worry Keenie, we are okay. You were very brave out there.”
Otis - “You both were brave. Not a lot of people had the guts to stand up to somebody like Striker.”
Keenie - *whimpers* “Yeah…He was really scary.”
Otis - *worried* “M-Mr. Otis? What did the cowboy say was true? Do you hate angelic beings?”
Otis - *takes a deep breath* “Striker is known to twist words. You see, unlike him, I don’t go after innocent creatures. No matter what species they are. I only hated angelic beings that try to hurt demons for stupid reasons.”
Keenie - *guilty* “I guess I’m on that page. Collin and I, along with an old friend, tried to hurt a group of demons that we blamed for getting kicked out of heaven.”
Collin - *Sadly* “But we realize we are no better than the demons because we did bad acts ourselves and how that former friend of ours was toxic.”
Keenie - “So we don’t deserve to be in heaven or even Hell…We aren’t Hellions.”
Otis - “Well, you little ones do deserve to be called Hellions. Down here, at least most people admit on who they are and don't try to hide the flaws they have. Even embrace who they are. In my eyes, getting rid of a toxic friend and admitting your mistakes just prove you guys are worthy of being in Hell.”
Being touched by this, Keenie and Collin gave Otis a big hug. Otis smiled and hugged them back.
Otis - “Come on, let's clean up your wounds and continue this vacation.”
Keenie - “Can we come back here again?”
Otis - *smiles* “You’re welcome back anytime.”
The End
