Notes
- I have gone with the setting from Of Mice and Men, a ranch (Tyler Ranch in the movie), but this fanfic is set in modern day America so I can make pop-culture references (thus the modern setting tag)
- Canon Divergence AU and Not Canon Compliant applies for all fandoms
- Human AU is specifically for Warrior Cats, because otherwise they’d be cats, and that would be weird
- The Warrior Cats characters only refer to each other by the Clan names when not near other people, and thus refer to each other using nicknames (ranging from their prefix or suffix to something entirely different) while working
- Homophobia includes the circumstances by which certain men get onto the ranch, and Curley (internalised homophobia, in his case).

From The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
(mostly based on the movie and AU head-canons, though I have read the book)
Felix Ravinstill is a young man with long brown hair and hazel eyes. He is Mayor Ravinstill’s son. He and Gaius get along over the subject of their fates being swapped in the movie of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (in the book, Felix is fine and Gaius loses his legs and dies after an explosion, whilst in the movie Gaius is fine and Felix is put on life support but dies after the explosion). Mayor Ravinstill has sent him to Tyler Ranch for the summer for work experience.
Gaius Breen is a young man with curly black hair and brown eyes. He and Felix get along over the subject of their fates being swapped in the movie of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. He just wanted to experience ranch life for the summer.
Coriolanus Snow, aka Coryo, is a young man with pale blue eyes and wavy blonde hair. He is chill with Felix and Gaius, has a messy relationship with Sejanus (friends? Enemies? Something more?) and is dating Lucy Gray. He wants to be president. Dean Highbottom sent him here as Peacekeepers don’t exist in this universe.
Sejanus Plinth is a tall, angular, brown-haired man with soulful brown eyes. He is somewhat friendly with both Lucy Gray and Coryo. He’s also here as Peacekeepers don’t exist in this universe.
From Warrior Cats (but turned human)

Hawkwing (nicknamed Wing because Hawkfrost took Hawk) is a big and sturdy man with black hair (which would be grey, but he dyes it) and brown eyes. He wears a grey striped scarf. When his dad Sharpclaw found out he was with Darktail and Sloespine, Hawkwing was sent to Tyler Ranch to work the gay away.
Hawkfrost (using both Hawk and Frost) is a huge, muscular, broad-shouldered, young man with dark brown hair and pale blue eyes. He wears a dark brown striped and white cloak. He has an unshakable Dark Forest link and is a good fighter. He’s heard Curley’s a good boxer, and has come to the ranch to see if he can beat Curley up.
Ashfur (Ash for short) is a man with black hair and dark blue eyes. He wears a light grey cloak with black flecks. He’s been sent here by his dad Whitestorm following an incident involving arson.
Darktail (Dark) is a muscular young man with black hair and blue eyes. He wears a blue-grey (the original colour) and black dappled cloak with white splotches. He stole his cloak from somewhere, and tried to dye it—first he tried dying it black, then he tried white. Neither worked fully. He has lived on the ranch ever since his dad Onewhisker rejected him.
Antpelt (Ant or Anthony) is a young man with brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a black and brown cloak. He’s been here since an incident involving his support of a cult called “The Dark Forest”.
Breezepelt (Breeze) is a young man with black hair and brown eyes. He wears a black cloak. He is absolutely DONE with dealing with his dad Crowfeather and has run off to this ranch.
Raine (who also goes by simply Rain) is an adult AMAB person with long black hair and green eyes. Rain uses both he/him and they/them pronouns, and is non-binary. Raine showed up after taking a wrong turn to a pride parade.
Splash is a broad-shouldered teenage boy with slightly wavy brown hair and grey-green eyes. He wears a brown striped cloak. He is charismatic, an eloquent speaker and has an unshakable Dark Forest link (which led to him being haunted and manipulated by Curlfeather (Curl), the ghost of a woman with light brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a light brown cloak). He ran away from home and signed up to work on the ranch for some money to make a living (Curlfeather is encouraging him to murder Curley, Hawkfrost, Hawkwing and the Boss so he can be on top).
Podlight (Pod or Pea) is a man with black hair and brown eyes. He wears a gray and white cloak. He is here as he knows his sister Curlfeather’s ghost is around and because Hawkwing was claiming to help him a while back while “ruining” Podlight’s life, as Podlight describes it. This has led to Podlight seeking revenge and so his main plan is now to murder Hawkwing and blame it on Hawkfrost.
One Of My Warrior Cats OCs (but turned human)
Sloespine (going by Sloe, Earl Grey or Reggie) is a man with greying black hair (unlike his beloved Hawkwing, he refuses to use hair dye), and brown eyes. He wears a grey slightly spotted scarf and oak leaves behind his ear. He is a polymath and eloquent speaker. He has a British accent and loves Earl Grey tea. Sloespine is at Tyler Ranch for reasons unrelated to being with Hawkwing. In fact, Sloespine is here as he heard Slim wants more jerk-line skinners, and the boss needs a refreshment maker.

You should know what the characters from Of Mice and Men look like. (I’ll get to them later for those here for Hawkwing/Darktail smut or Eric/Gerald fanfic or something unrelated to Of Mice and Men, and those who haven’t read it before )
An Inspector Calls
(appearances based on the actors in the 2015 TV movie)
Eric Birling is a young man with brown hair and blue eyes. After the incident with Eva Smith and the stolen money, Mr Birling sent Eric off to work at a ranch as punishment. Mr Birling also seems to have caught on to Eric and Gerald’s more-than-friendliness, which Mr Birling (as a Christian and a conservative traditionalist) believes will send Eric and Gerald to hell and eternal damnation.
Gerald Croft is a man with brown hair and even bluer eyes than Eric. As it turns out, Gerald needed a break from running Crofts Ltd and showed up at the ranch to relax over the summer. He and Eric are friends or more-than-that, especially as Sheila has pursued feminism instead of the engagement.
Girls Of Soledad
(my female Warrior Cats OCs but turned into humans, as well as Pebbleshine and Lucy Gray Baird)
Moonberry (Moon, Selene or Luna) is a small young woman with naturally silver hair and dark sapphire blue eyes. She wears a silver-grey cloak and forget-me-nots behind her ear. She has an unshakable StarClan link and unshakable Dark Forest link. She has made a living from being the only real medium in town, and also being a professional tarot card, crystal ball and palm reader. She is Sunsong’s sister.
Sunsong (Sun, Sunny and professionally, Cassie Sunlight) is a young woman with blonde hair and emerald-green eyes. She wears a yellow flower bulb behind her ear and wears her yellow cloak in various ways depending on what's most fashionable. She is a captivating singer. She is a Hollywood actress and famous singer. She is Moonberry’s sister.
Tanglefaith (Tangle, Faith or Amy Cinnamon) is a short young woman with light brown hair and some white "highlights", and large bronze eyes. She wears a grey and cinnamon scarf with a metal kebab skewer as a scarf-pin. She has a Slovenian accent and smells like crisp autumn air. She is best known for running a coffee shop.
Pebbleshine (Pebble) is a young woman with brown hair and green eyes. She is a nightmare soother. Tanglefaith gave her a nice brown and white spotty scarf. She is in Soledad to support Tanglefaith’s coffee shop.
Appleflower (Apple, Blossom or usually Sarah)is a young woman with grey eyes and chocolate-brown hair. She wears a white poppy behind her ear, and a dappled (chocolate, ginger and white) cloak. She is a fantastic healer and nightmare soother. She is a nurse in Soledad.
Lucy Gray Baird, usually referred to as Lucy Gray, is a girl with dark brown wavy hair and dark brown eyes. She is a good songwriter, guitarist and singer. She is named after William Wordsworth’s “Lucy Gray”. She is in a situationship with Coryo and chill with Sejanus. She is a somewhat famous singer and friends with “Cassie Sunlight”.
