When Worlds Collide

Prologue

Planet Eternia, Eternos City

“Randor, you can’t hold them forever,” Queen Marlena said in amusement as the King of Eternia sat cradling his twin children as if they were the most valuable gems in his royal collection.

Adam and Adora. The whole planet was his domain but for a moment Randor’s world revolved around the tiny lives in his arms.

I’m king. I can do whatever I want.” Randor smiled down at his son and daughter.

It was a glorious and peaceful moment for a beautiful and complete family.

Sadly, it was not to last …

Explosions rocked the palace and before the King and Queen could respond Randor’s Man-At-Arms Burst into the room. “Highnesses, we must get you both to safety!” Duncan exclaimed as a swirling portal opened.

“Get the children, apprentice,” the demonic Hordak called, as Skeletor leapt toward the King. He was unable to grapple both children but managed to grab one screaming baby.

“No!” The Queen screamed as Skeletor leapt into the portal with the squirming screaming child who was gripping the energy crystal on his chest piece.

Duncan dove after as the portal closed and Skeletor fell to his knees. His crimson glowing eyes scanned the area around him. The child and his crystal was gone.

“We still have the other one, my Lord,” Skeletor said, as the entire guard burst into the room.

“You fool!” Hordak cursed Skeletor as he opened a portal and escaped.

“Don’t leave me!” Skeletor called out before turning to the king. “This is all your fault… you’ll pay for this …” he said as he dematerialized and vanished.

The king and queen embraced in tears as they clung to their only remaining child, Prince Adam. “We will not rest till we find her, I promise.” Duncan said, glancing to the window to see a falcon watching closely. The Falcon nodded before flying back toward Castle Grayskull.

Present day

Teela dove and swung her sword toward Beast Man’s arm but the monster caught it his massive fist and roared at her. She made a face and brushed a strand of her red hair from her face. “When was the last time you brushed your teeth?” She asked before letting go of her sword and backflipped away drawing her rifle staff.

Her eyes widened when her much larger opponent had lifted a statue of the late King Randor over his head and threw it her.

She smirked when it was stopped before hitting her. “I will have you know, I have the situation under control.”

“I can see that,” her best friend smirked as he had caught the statue with one hand and held it effortlessly over his head.

“The assist is still appreciated, ‘He-Man’.” Teela said, spinning her staff.

“See? It rolls off the tongue.” He-Man said grinning.

“It’s not bad. Warrior Goddess approves.” She winked causing the mighty warrior’s cheeks to color.

“Am I interrupting?” Beast Man snarled.

“May I?” He-Man sighed dropping the statue.

“Be my guest,” Teela replies motioning toward the villain.

“Uh oh…” Beast Man blinked as He-Man’s eyes glowed with power for a moment. The punch came faster than he could move and next thing he knew Beast Man was flying through the city wall.

“Crap. I was aiming for the open gate.” He-Man shook his fist as the guard surrounded the unconscious Beast Man.

“There was a petition to widen the gate anyway,” Teela said, picking up her sword and sheathing it. “Kill two birds with one stone.”

“Come on, change and let’s get moving. The Queen is expecting us for a luncheon.”

“A luncheon…” He-Man felt it around in his mouth as he drew the Sword of Power and held it high “let the Power RETURN!”

Teela placed a hand on her hip as she watched as the barbarian Warrior was engulfed in light and her best friend Adam in his pink shirt and slacks  stepped out. “You don’t have to watch you know?”

“Is the humble prince shy?” Teela teased as she bumped his side with his elbow.

“I am naked for a little bit there, you know?” Adam shoved his hands in his pockets.

“For about a second tops. Not enough time to see anything!” Teela said before glancing away quickly.

“You ARE looking!” Adam gasped.

“My best friend is transforming into a Demigod. Excuse me for being fascinated,” Teela elbowed him again.

“I am not a demigod, and what kind of luncheon are we talking about?” Adam asked changing the subject.

“Oh. Just every single princess in all of Eternia to marry you off,” Teela replied deadpan before chuckling at his deflate, “I’m kidding. Just your mom, dad, and us. Nothing fancy. She still likes catching up with you. And I think she enjoys dad’s company too. And it’s covered as security detail.”

“Oh good. I can deal with that.” Adam relaxed. “When we have the big regal banquets it makes me miss being just normal Adam Glenn in Oklahoma.”

Adam and Teela walked into the Royal family private dining room and the prince gasped seeing an additional presence. A red and blue falcon on a chair. “The Sorceress…”

“That’s a bird, Adam…” Teela squinted.

“He’s actually right, Teela,” Duncan said standing by the bird who flapped its wings and jumped to his shoulder.

“Is something wrong?” The queen asked now that Adam and Teela had joined them.

“No. Actually something is right.” Duncan replied. “We found her.”

Once the group entered the hollowed grounds of Castle Grayskull, the falcon flew from Duncan’s shoulders and transformed into the beautiful Sorceress of Grayskull. “Welcome,” the sorceress greeted.

“Duncan said you found my sister,” Adam said excitedly, with Teela by his side. Neither he nor the redhead beside him noticed Teela’s hand was clutched in his.

The Sorceress smiled softly at it before nodding. “Yes. She is in you’re your old world. I cannot fully see her. But I have pinpointed her location.” The sorceress held up her arms and formed a magical sphere before them. Inside the planet earth appeared and zoomed in on the United States. Then closer.

 “California?” Adam frown.

“You’ve been there, son?” Duncan asked.

“On my salary? Not in that economy. Too rich for my blood.” Adam shook his head.

The sphere took them even closer. And Adam instantly recognized the type of building she was in. An office. And he recognized the logo. SDN. Who on Earth hadn’t?

“That’s as close as I can get to finding her.” Sorceress said apologetically.

“Have an idea.” Adam smirked. “Can I manipulate this?” Sorceress nodded and he moved the angle back and moved closer to something on the wall. “Yes. Yes that’s my way in.”

“We need to step back so you can do your thing?” Teela asked, glancing toward the sword on his back.

“No. Where I’m going super powers are a dime a dozen. This is something He-Man can’t do. It’s something I thought I’d never have to do ever again.”

“What is it, my son?” Marlena asked.

He pointed to the sign on the bulletin board. “They need a new HR specialist.”

“A what?” Teela cocked her head to the side.
