Chapter Text
Sharpness was hunched over a sink, his lungs felt like they were burning and his throat felt like miniature little spikes were puncturing it.
Below him were small flowers with sharp petals, white but stained with crimson, something Sharpness would’ve thought he would’ve never caught. But the odds aren’t always in his favour.
What was that disease called?
Hana.. Hanahaki.
It was cruel really. A lovesick disease meant to target fools.
The sink was practically dirtied up with saliva, blood and flowers.
God he hated this.
He hated everything.
He loved Jude.
Another cough echoed through the bathroom as Sharpnesses hand flew up to his mouth, another flower. Great, more pain and more stress. But it didn’t worry him much.
Right?
..
right?
-
He was going absolutely insane, that stupid bunny boy, Judelow. Jude was particularly the main cause of Sharp’s suffering. Sharp would never admit it, but he adored Jude and everything he did. It was only a matter of time if he decided to permanently leave the world because of one stupid boy, or drink a special potion that stopped any romantic interest towards anybody.
But he couldn’t do that, he couldn’t lose the feeling, the ability to look at someone in the eyes and feel your heart beating faster than when you’re drunk on a Friday night.
That brought Sharpness back to when he first gained the feelings for this bunny boy. Jude.
It was 1:48AM on a Friday night, Tai had of course dragged Sharpness to a party he definitely did not appreciate to be at. But what was life without a surprise?
The party was.. packed. Oh boy.
Sharpness just grabbed a simple drink from a plastic red cup, it was labelled ‘No Alchohol.’
Atleast that’s what it was supposed to be. Sharpness figured this out too late. He was already hammered as hell. His usual flowy blonde hair that was tied up into a bun with a ribbon? Yea that ribbon was long gone by then.
Sharpness leaned against Tai, pretty sure Tai wasn’t even sober himself. Till one of his friends, Jude came over.
Jude was a rabbit hybrid, purple fluffy hair along with matching bunny ears. He always smelled of redstone and smoke, That was Sharp’s favourite aroma.
As Jude approached, he noticed both of them hammered as fuck. But no judgment here. Jude was sober which, thank the heavens.
His eyes landed on Tai, then on Sharpness. Tai almost tripped and Sharpness had to endure the poor man’s stumbling. As Sharpness looked at Jude, his green/golden eyes glistened slightly at the appearance of the bunny man, and that was practically what soft launched their entire story.
After that, Jude and Sharp gave eachother their numbers, and boy oh boy was it awkward to see who was going to text first.
But the first text came from Judelow. Sharp wasn’t that fast to open it, okay maybe a little. It was a simple:
“yoo, wsp?”
But that was enough to make Sharpness practically melt. He did hesitate for a second, before texting back.
“Nothing much, what about you?”
—Immediate response from ‘JudeLow’
“nah me neither”
..
He wanted to hear more from Judelow, not only bland, dryer than drywall messages.
Afterwards Sharp started pestering Jude more, then started the late night texts, calls, ‘hang outs’ that seemed more like dates. And Oh Lord did Tai immediately notice.
One day, while Sharpness was at his own apartment, drying his silky blonde hair as usual. This guy has like 50 hair care products in his apartment. A subtle knock came on the door.
Sharpness stopped the hair dryer, putting it down on the bathroom counter as he padded silently to the door, confused on who was knocking at 7 and a half in the evening.
As he opened the door, a familiar shadow loomed over him.
Tai.
Tai immediately leaned on the doorframe, a knowing look while he crossed his arms,
And sharpness? Well he just stood there, confused in damp hair.
The silence stretched thin before Tai broke it with a:
“Sooooo.. About Jude.”
“What about Jude?” Sharpness asked, staring at Tai in a not so convincing expression.
“You know.. you’re pretty close to him now.”
Sharpness just slammed the door in Tai’s face, not wanting to socialise with that creature again.
He could hear Tai faintly shout from the other side of the door, but atleast he didn’t have to deal with him again.
Sharpness padded back to his bathroom, barefoot and soft footsteps across the tile floor. He immediately grabbed the dryer again, and started to dry his hair like normal. A message came through his phone which was resting on the counter, then it BLEW UP. Not literally, but emotionally.
Tai had posted on Twitter, with a message saying:
Taiiii
@_tai
A particular @c0nexion has a crush maybe..
122 comments already.
Sharpness groaned, before getting a message by Jude, which made his heart do a stupid little fluttering thing as he opened it,
“Yoo? What was Tais tweet on about?”
Sharpness sighed, before replying back:
“Nothing. I don’t like anybody, don’t listen to Tai.”
JudeLow was NOT convinced but Sharpness wouldn’t let him have last word,
Just leave Sharp alone at this point.. poor guy.
-
Oh right. Sharpness forgot he was hunched over a sink while flowers that were turning from white to black were currently getting coughed out of him, his lungs were crying and his throat just gave up.
Sharpness cleaned up the entire thing, deciding that maybe if he went to rest it would all be fixed by tomorrow.
One can dream,
But it won’t be answered.
