Chapter 1: Foreward

Chapter Text

---------

He had ARMY that loved and supported him unequivocally for his music, his theatrics, his mind, his bursts of silliness, his nerdy personality, his love for books and stories, his looks, his rap, the presidential leader that he was, and the effortless charm he exuded.

He loved them in return for their undying and unconditional love and support. He had brothers who'd die for him as would he for them, so unconventional and free spirited and above all, he had his music, his eternal sanctuary. Peaking in the midst of a storm, BTS shot to fame like nobody ever had predicted. They had decided the only record they'd ever break; over and over again at that; would be their very own.

Namjoon was a hardworking man when it came to his career, and he was very, very conscious of his blessings.

But every rose has its thorn. There was one thing that Namjoon feared. And that didn't come because, he was traumatised - rather because it was so unchartered and strange to him, he didn't know what to expect. Being the leader of the group had made him always be on guard, be protective and wary of everything. He had seen throes of people eye him at award shows, slide into his DMs, fans that he had found pretty during fan signs or concerts, fans that had flirted with him on rare occasions, and yet here he was.

The concoction, that was the idol life, missed one very deep emotion that Namjoon dreaded or never knew, but couldn't help silently ache for. Love.

He wanted to fall in love Wild, Free, and Fearlessly.
