Work Text:

Mickey sits on the couch with a beer bottle in his hand, taking a sip. He takes a look at Ian, who is putting the dirty dishes in the dishwasher.

Ian closes the dishwasher and presses the start button, turning around.

"Could you be so nice and help me?"

Mickey takes another sip of his beer. "It's too hot to move. You can join me for a while."

Ian walks towards the couch and grabs Mickey's beer bottle from his hand, putting it on the table.

"I always thought being married meant that we share the work in the household. Not me doing all the work and you being lazy." Ian says, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

Mickey shrugs his shoulders and reaches for the bottle, but his husband is faster and grabs it from the table before Mickey can get it.

"Come on, man. I'm thirsty."

"Then drink water, asshole," Ian replies as he steps towards the kitchen with the beer bottle in his hand and pours the rest of the beer down the drain.

"Are you kidding me?" Mickey screams and throws his hands into the air.

"Your fault."

Ian leaves the kitchen, letting Mickey sit alone on the couch. Mickey shakes his head. Not understanding why Ian has to act like a little bitch.

What's wrong with wanting to be lazy for a little bit, especially in this damn heat?

After a while, Mickey decides to get up and search for Ian, who he finds in the bedroom, pouting. He steps towards the bed and sits beside Ian.

They sit like this for a moment, then Mickey turns his head and reaches out his hand and cups Ian's face.

With a sigh, Ian follows the movement and makes eye contact with his husband.

"Sorry. I'll try to help you a little more."

"Maybe you're right. Maybe we can relax a little and do the other stuff tomorrow," Ian suggests, leaning in to give Mickey a kiss and resting his forehead against Mickey's.
