Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Percy Weasley had never disliked Oliver Wood, not really, sure he was a little annoying at times (especially at 5AM on quidditch match days) but he was just so likeable with the way he always helped younger students or how he often smiled at Percy across the great hall during mealtimes or the way Olivers dazzling blue eyes sparkled in the sun and…but Percy was getting ahead of himself. Besides, they were roommates if he went around hating the boy, things would be pretty awkward. None of this, however, warranted the reason as to why Percy was out in the freezing rain watching Oliver conduct quidditch trials. It was fifth year meaning it was Olivers first time being quidditch captain and therefore his first time conducting a try-out session and despite Olivers usual bravado, he was nervous. If Percy was being honest, the real reason that he was out here was simply because he couldn’t say no to Olivers gorgeous puppy dog eyes, but he would never admit that out loud. “watcha doin out here Perce?” the grinning face of Fred Weasley slid into his view “none of your business, and I told you not to call me that!” Percy retorted unsure of why this simple question had riled him up so much he was just here supporting a friend, wasn’t he? “ok ok, just asking” Fred followed his gaze toward the pitch where Oliver was setting the pitch up for trials in about ten minuets and something unrecognisable flashed across his face, he shot Percy a knowing grin “Well, id better get going, me and George are trying out for beaters this year” “mmh” Percy hummed, not really paying attention. Fred gave him one more searching look before turning and walking toward the direction of the changing rooms. End of chapter one.
