Surge and Kit’s relationship begins in Starline’s labs.
They were not paired by choice.
They are paired by suffering.
Starline made sure of it.
Every punishment is done together.
Surge too slow? She’ll be electrocuted with Kitsunami.
Kitsunami fails an experiment? He’ll be deprived of water and Surge is locked in with him for days.
Starline made sure their punishments are synchronized to create dependency.
They learn that safety equals each other, not themselves. They survive together.
Starline doesn't just train Surge and Kit. He breaks them.
He isolates them from the real world.
He punishes them in synchronized cycles.
He forces them to rely on each other for comfort and stability.
Their bond builds in shared pain and silence as planned.
The latest drill showed favorable improvements to his conditioning. It was nothing complex just a regular trigger response drill to examine how effective my techniques are. My notes shine up at me through the hologram and I’m practically running to Dr. Eggman with the results, but not yet. They have to be perfect. That’ll show the arrogant fool how effective conditioning organic matter can be. The full detailed list is stored within my own private drive, but these are the most award winning.

Tails footsteps → Kitsunami’s hydro pack activates
Do you have any idea how many trials it took to create these triggers? The countless trials? I should be marked down as a legend in this pathetic world.
Of course, every experiment is bound to have their hiccups. Would it be science if everything was perfect the first try?
Yes, sometimes the mindwipes leave unfavorable results, but the good outweighs the bad!
