Summary
“Where’s the bed?”
Xie Lian gestured to the straw mat which had been completely remade since last night’s… activities. Mu Qing glanced at the mat, then at Hua Cheng, then at Xie Lian, then back at the straw mat. “You two are sleeping there together?”
The tension in the room was almost visible with how thick it was. Mu Qing looked back and forth between Hua Cheng and Xie Lian, both of whom were staring resolutely at the ground and nowhere near each other. A disbelieving expression began to form on his face. He seemed to be moments away from connecting the dots.
Hua Cheng was moments away from revealing himself as Crimson Rain Sought Flower and cashing in on duels number 34 and 35 just to end whatever this was. He was only saved by Feng Xin announcing the array was finished. It was nearly enough to cause him to reconsider his entire opinion on the man. Nearly.
Hualian deal with the aftermath of sleeping together and negotiating what that means for them and their relationship. Part of a series!

“I wasn’t really scared when I said it earlier on the cart,” he confessed in that same soft, breathless voice. “I just liked it when Gege reassured me.” Something about the darkness and the slight vulnerability in San Lang’s voice made Xie Lian bold. He leaned closer until his breath was mingling with San Lang’s.
“Are you scared now?” he asked.
“Yes,” San Lang whispered, completely sincere.
“Don’t worry. Gege’s got you.” And with that Xie Lian closed the gap.
Fed up with how Feng Xin and Mu Qing expected him to still be the perfect prince, Xie Lian takes the opportunity presented to him to do something the Crown Prince of Xianle would never do.

Summary
Xie Lian and his two guards are called to a village in the east after people have gone missing under strange circumstances. They find the cause, but the gods didn't expect that a new problem would arise in its place. Their heavenly emperor has now been reverted back into a child and they must figure out how to turn him back before Hua Cheng finds out.
