Dismal being akin to non-existent. Sirius flees from his family's iron clutch and stumbles into the path of Remus Lupin, an alpha from the Wildlands like Sirius has never met before: gentle and kind and expecting nothing in return; nothing like the entitled nobles he's accustomed to. Travelling together seems like a good idea.
