Shikamaru’s standing there, one arm braced on the doorjamb above his head, leaning against the frame of the house so that she can see a slash of toned, tanned stomach from where his shirt’s riding up, and Ino thinks she might strangle something. Maybe whatever god’s decided to turn her life into their personal sitcom. Maybe Shikamaru.
_____________'Casual' and 'uncomplicated' sounded good to Ino when Shikamaru suggested it. And, if she's honest, her feelings are still relatively uncomplicated - just in a different way then Shikamaru meant, and decidedly opposite of 'casual'.
