“It’s going,” Mel answered. “I’m on break right now.” She’s never been happier to be on break until tonight, quite honestly. “However, I am tired and starving, so there’s that.” Frank was listening intently. “I was in a hurry before I left and I forgot to pack extra food. I haven’t eaten anything since a couple hours ago, but it was a vending machine snack and that won’t hold me over for the next eight hours.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, Mel.” The wheels started turning in Frank’s head. After a slight pause, he resumed speaking. “Can I ask you a question?” Mel nodded and gave him the go ahead. “What kind of food are you in the mood for if you had to choose something you wanted to eat?”
