Lan Sizhui has a lot of respect for the rules. He gets why they are there, how they help keep people in order, and peace in the world.
Such as, no killing in the Cloud Recesses, or, talking behind other people’s back is prohibited.
But there are others he isn’t a fan of, for example, do not smile foolishly, do not laugh for no reason, do not grieve in excess, and his personal least favorite, do not go near Wei Ying.
Or// The Juniors don’t think it’s fair that a lot of the last thousand rules are targeted at Wei Wuxian, so they start a petition to remove them.

He’s so caught up in the thought of eliciting a beautiful smile from his husband that, when Lan Zhan suddenly pauses his walking on the edge of the meadow, Wei Wuxian doesn’t immediately notice.
Suddenly coming to a stop himself, Wei Wuxian blinks once, then turns to look at Lan Zhan. The relaxation that had just been there is gone, replaced by a furrow in his brows, a slight narrowing of his eyes.
“Huh? Lan Zhan, what’s wrong?”
“There is a baby.”
Wei Wuxian blinks again. “Huh?”
It takes no time at all for him to find what gave Lan Zhan pause.
There, laying peacefully in the grass and surrounded by snoozing little fluff balls, is a baby.
