or Wade wakes up to Spiderman literally holding an entire building up so it doesn’t crush them. Both of them realize pretty quickly the building is coming down anyway.

Peter wasn’t altogether convinced that Wade’s flirting had been anything more than a way to get underneath Spider-Man’s skin.
Wade wasn’t altogether convinced that Spider-Man’s air of disdain wasn’t just a cover up because he was ashamed of returning the feelings.
So, when Peter calls Wade’s bluff at the same time that Wade calls Peter’s, they both end up with their dicks in their hands. (No pun intended)(Okay, actually, it was definitely intended).

Deadpool hasn't been back in New York since Peter told him, screamed at him, to stay away all those years ago. He hadn't just barred Deadpool from New York, but also from his heart. So when he sees a familiar black and red clad figure on the news, he knows Deadpool's back, and he's fully prepared to go confront him.
He doesn't want any of that anymore, anyway. Or so he's been telling himself daily since the very last time he laid eyes on Deadpool.
Peter's not prepared for what seeing the other man does to his resolve, and he finds what they ended all those years ago picking right back up from where they left off.

Legs strew to either side, he presses against the chair in frustration, because even in the most unlikely of situations, Webs is nothing short of a wet dream."
(One of those gloriously layered stories that you have to read a few times to truly feel the weight of. I keep coming back to it.)
