Unfortunately for everyone involved, she has modern sensibilities, a talent for causing problems for powerful people, and very little interest in behaving the way anyone expect her to.

No one answers. Someone takes a step back.

“You didn’t have to do that,” a camper whispers but it carries in the silence. There are no voices of assent but Percy glimpses slow nods in the crowd.That does it.
Percy is forced to watch as his life crumbles to dust around him no matter how much he tries pick it back up. Facing distance, mistrust, and ultimately betrayal from the people he loves, Percy is left reeling and wondering where it all went wrong. Is the problem truly the Oracle’s words (Sea bleeds red)? Or is it and has it always been him?
Faced with undeserved malice and destroyed relationships, Percy leaves for good but as he travels and explores, he learns more about the universe and himself than he ever thought possible.

Summary
Based on the original story “Misaligned Stars” by FictionalDragonMother, I decided to create my own version, set one year after the events of the original timeline. In this version, the gods of the original world care for and protect the demigods who were not kidnapped, keeping them safe on Olympus.

She put her face in her hands and doubled over. Jason tried to touch her, but as soon as she felt his touch, Piper felt disgusted and pulled away.
She had to pull away, unable to bear the pain she was causing one of the best person she'd ever known.
"I don't even know if I love you," she admitted, feeling an unpleasant sourness in her stomach, "Maybe I never did."
(Piper and her complicated relationship with who she is, motherhood, and her feelings for Jason.)

"Thank you," Percy said, accepting the tea gratefully. He wasn't a big tea person overall, but his stepmother had a very good knack for it. Godly power, or whatever. "And thank you for not hating me anymore. I know you aren't thrilled about my existence-"
"No need to thank me for not being Hera," Amphitrite dismissed. Percy took a sip of tea. "That is what you meant, isn't it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. For once, Percy learned from his mistakes and stayed quiet, though he did give her a bashful smile to confirm the sentiment. "Hm. Well, either way, I owe you thanks. Not many children would agree to spy on their father for me."
Percy put the cup down. "I'm not spying on him," he reasoned. Amphitrite scoffed. "I just happen to be in many of the places he is when he's in the mortal world." A long pause followed, and Percy rolled his eyes. "Yes, he was seeing a mortal woman. Her name is Lea."
"You owe me twenty of your mortal dollars, child."
Percy bitterly slapped the paper bill on the table between them.

“Is this your plan for all of eternity?” the mystery boy asked, looking almost amused at Jason’s wandering. “Sneaking out of Elysium and haunting your loved ones?”
Jason turned, refusing to let himself get riled up. Instead, he glanced over at where Thalia began to make a paper airplane and then looked back at his apparent stalker.
“I didn’t sneak out,” he said. “I have permission from Pluto to leave as I wish. It is my right as a spirit of Elysium.”
The boy clicked his tongue. “I see,” he said, and looked at Thalia with a sad sort of smile. “And how is that going?” Jason didn’t answer. He didn’t have to. He didn’t know who this was - if it was a god, spirit, or something else entirely. “Do you know who I am?” the stranger asked as if reading his mind.
Jason ignored him. It was time to go. He wouldn’t enjoy his time with Thalia if he was being harassed for the entirety of it. Could he visit Piper again? Or would this guy follow him there too?
Just as he stepped away, the boy laughed. “Luke Castellan,” he called. “If you were wondering.”
Or
Jason is trying to have a productive death. Unfortunately, a certain son of Hermes is making his afterlife harder than it needs to be.

In another universe, demigods do not exist. The gods are closer because of it, but the cost is too great. These gods are fractured, their very reality threatening to unravel because of the curse Kronos spoke.
What if the Fates wanted to prevent that? What if they found this universe?
