“It” could be a lot of things. Some benzos. A horse tranquilizer. Oxy, like his mom used to take. Angel is half convinced that Vox’s breakfast is a cereal mix of uppers and downers, powder in those bright colored-capsules that you give to old people. Things that look a lot prettier than they taste. Not that he has much room to talk. He gets the same shit, just in different packaging.

A continuation after Saccharine, told in Vox’s perspective: Vox wants Valentino’s forgiveness more than anything, and doesn’t want to waste any opportunity to earn it. Not when everything that matters is finally his. And Val is just that – everything. But it all feels so fragile. Val’s forgiveness, the Vees, Val himself – everything feels like it’s made from paper. If he holds on too tight, it will crumble up in his hands. If he loosens his grip, he risks it all being ripped away. And that ends up becoming all too true when someone from the past returns, seeking to take everything away from Vox.
