Clark takes off into the sky, and Barry glances over at Bruce, fully expecting to see him with that sad, longing look he gets whenever Clark leaves.
Except that’s not the look on his face at all.
Bruce isn’t even looking at him. He’s focused on his motorcycle, as if Clark wasn’t even there at all.
Barry’s stomach drops.

“Okay, diaper, pajamas, then bedtime, yeah?”
Conner gurgles, and Clark kisses him on the cheek again, resisting the urge to blow a raspberry on it- it’ll rile him up too much, make it hard for him to sleep. Instead, he carries him off to his bedroom, and is halfway through zipping up his onesie when his phone rings. He gets it out of his pocket, smiling when he sees Bruce on the caller ID.
“Hey, Bruce-!”
“Jason is gone.”

Summary
Bruce Wayne has an image to uphold, whether he likes it or not. Every gala he attends, all cameras are on Gotham’s most eligible bachelor, and he never arrives empty armed. Man or woman, Bruce always has a new date with him.
The dates Bruce usually brings are people who aren’t well known, and quickly forgotten once Bruce comes with a new date. The two parties both enjoy this, but what happens when Bruce’s date this time, is the bulky awkward country boy from the ‘Daily Planet’?
As a part of the League’s latest mission, Bruce and Clark are going to this gala together. Typically, Clark would be a part of the paparazzi and news coverage at the event, but now, he gets to be with Bruce! Both men are internally buzzing on attending this together, but don’t let the other know, afraid of how the other may react. They both like each other, but refuse to let the other know in fear of ruining the friendship. Meanwhile, the Batkids and Superkids are placing bets on who makes the first move.

Superbat jla batfam superfam this fic is probably the best I’ve ever read!!! Note to self if in a bad headspace skip somewhere around chapters 30 can’t remember exact one to at least 44. Naw it is the best fic it got them meeting forming the jla ect with parts from the cartoons I love
