“I love you,” he says, gently rubbing at the pillow lines on his cheek.
Steve looks confused, but he smiles anyways. “I love you too,” he says, then he’s looking around a little. “Are you trying to butter me up? Did you adopt like, a hundred cats or something?”
Eddie laughs. “Honestly, pretty much. Your surprise is in the kitchen.”
