Intro:
Hello everyone! Welcome to NCT Write Write 2017!
The first round of NCTWW is a FIC PROMPT + CLAIMING FEST. For those who aren't familiar with the mechanics of a fic prompt + claiming fest, this is how it goes: there will be a set time frame where we'll be asking people to leave prompts. Once we've collected the prompts, we will be posting them in a spreadsheet and asking people to claim them for writing! Once claiming ends, writers will receive an email with their assigned prompt.
Our tentative timeline is as follows:
May 5 - Prompting starts
May 15 - Prompting ends
May 16 - Prompt reveals
May 25 - Claiming starts
June 1 - Claiming ends
July 1 - First check-in
August 14 - Writing ends
August 19 - Posting starts
August 24 - Posting ends + Guess who/author appreciation
August 27 - RevealsShould there be any changes, we’ll be sure to let you know!

Throughout the course of the fic fest, we will be contacting writers through email often, so make sure you check your emails for the latest updates, and later on, submission guidelines.

Rules:
1. This is a general NCT/SM Rookies fic fest so your fics are only required to follow the ideas suggested by your prompter. There is no endgame NCT pairing or preset genre or au that you must stick to.
2. Minimum word count is 1,500 words.
3. Please do not discuss ideas for your assignment in public (Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, and other sites of the like). It takes away from the fun so we seek your understanding and hope to keep the anonymity alive until the reveals post goes up.
4. We will be following Korean Standard Time (KST) for this fest, and most official announcements and deadlines will be at either noon KST or midnight KST.
5. Stick to deadlines! If you find yourself unable to meet a deadline, please contact the mods on twitter, tumblr or by email as soon as you realise you cannot meet a deadline.
6. Please be respectful! Kink-shaming, ship-hating or any other negativity will not be tolerated. This is a great way to make friends in the fandom, so let’s all be nice!
7. When prompting, be sure to avoid leaving prompts that include themes of rape/non-consensual conduct.
8. When writing, stick to your prompts! Some deviation and artistic license is unavoidable and even encouraged, but keep in mind what the prompter wanted in the first place and make sure you hit the main points and avoid what the prompter didn't want.
9. Remember to post your fics to the collection on time! Try and finalise your fics 12 hours before so there's no mad rush to upload them when the deadline looms.
