It's been years since Deku has been in Japan, and Bakugou could care less about his sudden return. So what if his inner Omega is quite obsessed with his smell? So what if he finds himself growing more and more interested in this new Deku who has fully embraced his Alpha side and grown up quite a bit since his defeat of Shigaraki? He doesn't have time to worry about someone who abandoned them all when he's struggling to stand on his own as an Omegan hero. But when a new case involving multiple missing Alpha and Omega heroes and sidekicks turns up, Bakugou is forced to work with the one person he would rather not. And also forced to accept and explore the feelings he's had since he presented back in high school.

Izuku's stomach turned over. He had told himself a thousand times that this was it. That the next time Kacchan started nesting, he'd shoot his shot. They were third years, and Kacchan was easily his best friend. He was also the love of his life. Every time Kacchan hit pre-heat, courting gifts would flood the dorms and Izuku would watch in terror as Kacchan inspected each one and then crumple in relief when he turned them down.
He couldn't wait on the sidelines anymore and wonder if Kacchan would accept him. He had to try, or else he'd miss his chance and regret it for the rest of his life.
