He’d sent the last message over an hour ago, now it was almost midnight and his fingers were itching to write something again, to beg Max for a confirmation that he was safe, but he also didn’t want to push him too much. George understood that this was a difficult moment for the Dutchman, he’d just lost his 5th consecutive championship by 2 freaking points. It didn’t matter how many times he said that he didn’t really care, that he already had four at home and all that crap - George knew him better, knew how much this loss would actually cost him.
