"Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus." He added, when silence lingered too long. His gaze, locked onto the doctor's crystalline eyes, never wavered again. From his hospital bed, he could still taste the sterile stiffness of the sheets — yet not once did he complain. Not even in a whisper.
Satoru shrugged. "I'm afraid I'm not too close to that line of thought."
"Say, doc," he interrupted softly, almost immediately. "Have you ever thought about death?"

Summary
To live and die as a hashira was one of the greatest honors. Even though she couldn’t decapitate a demon’s head, Shinobu still persevered and became someone her sister could be proud of. She even managed to form an intimate bond with one of her fellow hashira during her great achievement.
But that bond led to Shinobu facing a situation she could’ve never dreamed possible, and now the insect hashira was left facing a decision that either let her focus on revenge or focus on living the life her sister prayed she could have.
